WORLD TRADE FORUM
ABOUT
The World Trade Forum is an organization made up of accountants, financers, businessmen, and trade officials from the United States. The WTF is officially headquartered at 1 World Trade Center in New York City, and is lead by Executive Director Jay Stevens. The WTF was created to organize and establish trade between foreign nations and the United States, as well as between the other countries of the world. International "forums" are held at least once per year in New York to establish new trade routes and improve on existing ones. The WTF sees a structured international trade network as a benefit to all of mankind. The WTF is to be a congressionally chartered organization and is not owned or operated by the United States government.
MISSION
The Mission of the World Trade Forum is to establish at least two trade routes between each individual member state making all members connected. The benefit of fulfilling this mission is that nations with a diverse network of international trade routes see a general improvement to their economy as well as, on average, an increase in happiness among their population due to the availability of foreign goods.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the World Trade Forum is open to one delegation per sovereign country - each delegation is led by a "Trade Director" for that country. The Trade Director does not have to be a government official from that country, but should be sanctioned by his nation's government to negotiate trade at the WTF. There is one category of membership for the WTF: Full Membership. Full Membership costs $1.5-billion per year. (Members can be expelled for bad-faith actions, negligence, and repeated failure to participate).
FULL MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
- Permitted to send a Trade Delegation to the WTF which is held at least once per year
- The WTF will personally manage the organization of trade between the member-state and other members
- This can be customized by what kind of products the member wants to import/export, and the number of routes they wish to establish and maintain (up to ten without any additional fees)
- If a member's trade routes are disrupted (i.e. through another member leaving, or war), the WTF will directly work to either restore them, or find new routes
- The WTF will assist members in finding the most suitable ships, aircraft, or trains to use for their trade routes, depending on what they want to trade
