Greetings. It is with the great expectations of strong bilateral relations that I write to you on behalf of the government and the people of Zaire. The People's Republic of China has long been a leader on the world stage when it comes to delivering economic and humanitarian aid to the people of Africa. A long history of struggling successfully against the colonizer and growing into a major world power. Zaire, a nation devastated by colonization and war looks to take similar steps as your own nation to secure our own future for our people and our continent. We are deeply interested in a strong bilateral relationship with your government. Not only do we look to China to be a major defense supplier for our armed forces, but we see you as a vital strategic ally in protecting our interests and our resources from exploitation.
We would be very interested in receiving a trade and diplomatic delegation from China in Kinshasa to further facilitate and expand talks between our two great nations and peoples.
