[ASSEMBLY MEMBER]: Juan Valdez

[DATE]: 16/01/2014
[VOTE]: APPROVE

[REASON]: Invading Serbia expands the war. Conflicting reports from on the ground, made by the USA and Vietnam make invasion seem baseless. USA could give a s*** about Kosovars, just wants to play with toys. Vietnam could give a s*** about Kosovars, just pretending to be a shot-caller. Brazil does not give a s*** what the USA or Vietnam thinks.

"Mr. Secretary General, all nations present in these chambers have voted." Lieutenant Nguyen would note. "Considering the... ah... time crunch that we find ourselves in, with the Republic of Serbia falling apart and instituting a military junta, might we tally the votes and either put the resolution into effect or call upon a new one?"

"Mr. Secretary General," Lieutenant Nguyen would say smoothly. "If the Argentinians are so hell-bent on bringing peace to the region, would they not want this matter resolved as swiftly as possible? All nations present in these chambers and voted and cast their decision. Why should we wait any longer? Time is of the essence."

"Time is surely of the essence, Mr. Secretary General. I move that we close voting immediately." Lieutenant Nguyen would say brightly. "I would also like to call into question the legitimacy of the Serbian vote, considering that they were just removed from chambers by their own local police forces... very loudly, mind you and have not been shown to re-enter chambers. For all we know, their vote could have been done by electronic tampering. It would be against the honor and sacred values of these chambers to allow that vote to stand. I'd also like to call the Nigerian vote into question as they have not entered these chambers, debated against these measures, or have any evidence of even seeing a transcript.. which could also be evidence of electronic tampering. Moreover! I'd like to call into question the Irish vote for the same reasons. Finally, I'd like to call into question the French vote, as after locking in a vote, delegates should not be allowed to change their minds at will. That is why we have reached this problem with Kosovo, a willy-nilly, wishy-washy approach to international relations. These votes should be thrown out."

"We have had, nations vote before, where they did not participate in the discussion, or entered the chamber, but they can and did vote and let their voice be heard. So I don't see the issue here? As it has precedent. Also only one of the delegates of Serbia exited this chamber, I do believe there still some of their reps in the chamber." Since a single Delegate was arrested in the lobby, outside of the chamber, how did the Vietnamese see him getting arrested?

As the Delegate left the GA's Chamber and entered the lobby to meet with them, the two Gendarmery Officers would grab him and slam him to the ground, handcuffing him as such. As they did so, his screams would most likely be audible even in the chamber. "Sir. By the Authority of General Mila Mihailović, You're under arrest on charges of treason. You have no rights, and you will be afforded none. Do you understand this?"

They would prepare to be challenged by the GA's Security for this as they dragged him back out to their vehicle. They would both have a vehemently angry, mean look on their faces.

"Mr. Chang, I did not need to see him get arrested. I'm not quite sure if you are hard-of-hearing, but I heard his screams even in these chambers. It's quite obvious that even if there is a Serbian delegate remaining, he is held hostage by some kind of masked caper that for some reason, neither you or I rose to stop. That is not reflective of the General Assembly as an organization to be held hostage by individuals abduct delegates at will. This situation is far, and far beyond the norms. We have a country here that committed an artillery strike on innocent civilians, yet they find support in these chambers. We have support for human rights violators, we have a country's sovereignty and independence... which was rightly fought for and won. We have support for a country who does not give it's own diplomats any rights or afford them any. As a matter of fact, we have support for a nation that is going through their own revolution and undergoing a military coup. Nations who do not participate in these chambers should not be allowed or granted a vote for the sake of tampering. If you are so bent on precedent, why are we voting for a country that has already been considered independent and sovereign?"

"I move to discount these votes, Mr. Secretary General."

Vasily Nebenzya would attend with the Russian GA Delegation, take their seats, and read the notes of the meeting so far. Then they would cast their vote.
