The British Ministry of Defence has opened bids to replace the ageing Bulldog Armoured Personnel Carrier which has been marked as a 'huge investment opportunities' for businesses and governments hoping to go into Partnership with the UK.
Whilst reservations have been made about it's ideal vehicle, the MOD have announced they are aiming for a wheeled Infantry Fighting Vehicle/Armoured Personnel Carrier to fill the gap for Mechanized Infantry, requesting the following:

- Specification Sheet of the offered bid.
- Unit Costs per vehicle.
- Information regarding the sale to other countries (I.e. could any other country buy them? Can a deal be made to restrict sales to the UK? etc.)

Terrex Platform Specifications

The Terrex AV-81 is one of the latest designs from LDI, and it's current vision of a modern next-generation vehicle.

LDI is currently offering its standard, troop-carrier variant. Similar to the Bionix II, the Terrex is also outfitted with a battlefield management system. The Terrex AV-81 is uniquely one of the first vehicles of its kind to feature a twin-weapon remote-controlled weapon system [RCWS]. The RCWS also includes optical/thermal sighting and custom-built target engagement screens. The Terrex can be configured to carry altogether different loadouts, including ATGM's and a 105mm tank gun. The Terrex AV-81's strength is in its versatility on the battlefield, which led to the creation of several variants. Aside from the standard troop-carrier variant, the following variants have also been designed: Command and Control (C2), ATGM, Fire Support, Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition (RSTA), Pioneer and Medevac.

It requires a two-man crew and can carry up to 12 fully equipped soldiers in his carrier. In place of troops, it can internally haul up to 11 tons of cargo. The Terrex family of IFV/APC's are fully amphibious., and are fully capable of being airlifted via C-130 or its equivalent.

The Terrex AV-81 has a base production price of $1,900,000.00, with the same price negotiation before offered as with the Bionix family.

As one of our newest and most-advanced systems being offered, the Terrex is exclusively owned and produced by LDI. For this model of vehicle, a deal can be made to provide the United Kingdom with exclusive rights to sale or production.

The Pegaso 3560 BMR is a 6x6 wheeled armoured personnel carrier produced in Spain by Enasa. The Pegaso BMR is armed with a single remotely controlled 12.7 mm machine gun. Aluminum armor of the BMR-600 protects from small arms fire and artillery shell splinters. Vehicle is fitted with an NBC protection system. The Pegaso BMR has a crew of two and can carry 11 troops. Troops enter and leave the vehicle through the rear ramp doors or roof hatches. A single firing port is provided from each side of the hull. The Pegaso BMR is powered by the Pegaso 9157/8 diesel engine, developing 310 hp. Vehicle is fitted with hydropneumatic suspension with adjustable ground clearance. The Pegaso BMR APC is fully amphibious, on water it is propelled by two waterjets.

The Ministry of Defence is unaware of any other country operating this vehicle other than the Spanish Army, a deal could be made under negotation for exclusive use of the vehicle by the British Army and the cost of said vehicle is $480,000 per unit.
