As the explosion ripped through the city, and more closely, the stock exchange - the first person to respond would be off duty NYPD Sergeant Eddie Donaldson, who was out with his family at the time and around the corner from the blast. Telling his family to stay where they are, he ran around the corner towards where the blast had taken place, seeing the carnage that had unfolded, there was dust and debris everywhere, flames spitting from the car. He didn't know it at first, but he was walking into disaster. Drawing his Smith & Wesson Model 640, he rushed through the smoke seeing the dead that littered the streets. He pulled his Nokia 8110 from his front jean pocket, dialling 9-1-1. Once the operator answered, he began speaking. "Yes this is Sergeant Donaldson, badge number 5-5-8-1. There's been some sort of explosion outside of the Stock Exchange, a lot of fatalities and even more wounded"

That was all he needed to say to, a 7-5 was issued to the nearby firehouses and within about two minutes, Engine 6, Engine 15, Engine 28, Ladder 11, Ladder 18 and Battalion 4 would all begin responding from the respective firehouses. EMS Station 04 from the Lower East Side would also respond, by sending four of its eleven ambulances to respond. As with all possible terrorist attacks, the decision was made to deploy HZT18, a HAZMAT unit from the West Village - the closest operation Hazmat unit in Manhattan.

Upon arrival, the firefighters would don their SCBA gear - due to the heavy smoke in the air, and get to work extinguishing the flames on the car. The crew from Ladder 11 would enter the Stock Exchange to begin ferrying people out.

At the same time, from the closest Precinct - the 7th, and the ESS-1 - six Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors would arrive at the scene, each with two members of the Patrol Bureau and a two ESU REP trucks each with two members of the Emergency Service Unit.

The response was good, however none of them knew what they were walking into, until the HAZMAT team arrived on scene. They stepped out of their trucks with their normal SCBA gear on, the truck Lieutenant would grab the gas chromatograph mass spectrometer from the back of the truck, which was of course standard procedure during a terrorist attack. He held the probe in the air and watch with horror in his face as the reading took place. The screen on the spectrometer came up with: "NaHSO4 + HCl" which mean only one thing: Chlorine. He grabbed his radio that was strung on his left shoulder. "Back up! Back up! We have a Chemical Agent in the air" Because of this, the Lieutenant was now incharge of the whole scene, out ranking the current Battalion Chief in scene. "I need a four block perimeter setting up!". Once this order was issued, the four men of the HAZMAT crew would jump into their truck and immediately change from their SCBAs to full HAZMAT gear. Upon doing this, they would get out of the trucks and begin setting up the scene. Grabbing large, highpowered fans from the truck and turning them on, to clear the scene of the gas - which once pushed away into higher altitudes becomes useless.

Although they knew they were in danger, the police, paramedics and firefighters at the scene continued to aid patients and deal with the flames. The Hazmat crew, after setting up the fans, would begin setting up a Decon tent to help the first responders at the scene, whilst another Hazmat crew from Haz Mat Tech Unit 44 would deploy to NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where they would begin preparing - with the help of doctors and nurses, to set up a Decon unit inside the ER.

Once the fire on the car was out, the Hazmat Lieutenant would order all firefighters to turn the the nozzles of their hoses to spray, and then begin dowsing the air, buildings, roads and sidewalk to begin the cleaning process.

At the Belgian Embassy in Baghdad - which housed the US Ambassador and his security detail - the two Marine Security Guards at the front gate would notice the large formation of tanks and personnel approaching the front gate. Stepping inside of the gate, they would close it up completely before raising their M16A4s to aim and pressing the alert button. The twelve marines inside would move to the armoury, grabbing their Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops and fixating it to their bodies. Each fitting themselves with their MOLLE - without the packs, only the webbing to hold the ammo - and each would strap their Beretta M9 to their legs. Eight of the men would be armed with M16A4s, one with a M14 rifle, one with a M40 Rifle, one with a M249 light machine gun and one with an M240 GPMG. These were their main weapons, however, two of the men would have M136 AT4s and one other would have a M1014. Each of the men would have a single M67 Hand Grenade and a single AN-M18 Smoke grenade.

Meanwhile, the four members of the DSS would also arm themselves with the PASGT, Sig Sauer P228s and M4 Carbines. They would move into the Ambassadors office, barricading it to keep him safe. The staff in the embassy would also get to work on completely wiping hardrives of any important information, whilst shredding any important documents.

The Ambassador would be informed whilst this is all happening, he would send an SOS to the United States, informing them of what is happening at the embassy, unaware of the events unfolding in New York.

The marines armed with the M14, M40 and M240 would head to the roof of the building, so they could get a height advantage on the Iraqi forces. Whilst the rest of the marines would rush into the courtyard, taking up defensive positions behind cover. One of the Marines armed with one of the M136s would have it in his hands, aiming and waiting for the tank at the gate. "This is the Belgian Embassy, you do not have permission to enter these premises!" Would be shouted over the gate, the marines keeping their weapons trained on the gates.

12 Belgian security guards armed with FN FNC Rifles were ordered to set up defensive positions in the embassy courtyard with 2 FN MAGs located on the rooftop of the embassy manned by two fire teams with a fairly good line of site ready for use if need be. A sign in Arabic would read in bold black script: Neutral in order to indicate Belgium's foreign policy along with the commitment to peaceful cooperation and the rule of law. The hope was that this would deter the Iraqis and if not that then brute force of arms. From the rooftop one of the gunners would shout in Arabic: Cease and Desist We are Neutrals. The FN MAG would be trained on the road leading towards the embassy.

The events below take place in Kuwait

The desert winds were just starting to pick up as the sun starts to rise from the east. Near the town of Abdali, a small village consisting of 4 houses situated very close to the Iraqi border, had just begun preparing for the day. A small boy, with his dark hair and olive skin, had been ordered by his father to fetch water from the nearby well. As always, he dreaded the monotony of village life, always curious about the city a few kilometers down. His father ordered him to hurry up as he walked towards the well, breakfast had just been prepared by his mother.

A few minutes passed without the boy coming back. Their cups empty and void of water. It was odd as he would not have taken that long. While the boy was young, he certainly had the ability to carry a small pail of water. The father came out of their small hut, and began walking to the old well that had helped their family for generations. Without the doubt the boy was there, standing still with the brown pail in hand. It wasn't long before the father had realized what was happening, clouds of dust gather near the horizon, movements of men with their uniforms, and unrecognizable vehicles running amok. Without a second to waste he grabbed the boy out of his state of shock, and ran back to their small house.

He forced his wife, his son and his only two daughters to the family truck, calling for a neighbor to take them to the capital. With determination in his eyes, he tries to calm down their crying daughters, which were only 2 and 3 years old at the time. He then goes to his wife and hugs her gently, perhaps for the last time. He gives her a crumpled piece of paper that he kept within his brown vest.

"Go to the capital, my cousin is there and this is his address. Tell him that I sent you, He will bring you to Saudi Arabia for safety. I love you."

The young boy, not knowing what was happening, was reluctant to go. His father looked him straight in the eye and ordered him to come with his mother. After a few moments, the truck made its way through the desert, leaving only a plume of dark brown dust. He went back inside the small hut, seemingly looking for something. He unlocked an old trap door, revealing an old radio engraved with the logo of the Ministry of Interior. He dropped down, opening a small box. A small pistol was inside, with only two magazines to complement. He then turned on the old radio, and contacted his superiors at the Ministry of Interior.

"Minister, forces amassing near the North-west Border. Their movements indicate something large, unusual numbers for a mere military exercise."

Sheikh Ali Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the Interior Minister, had just woken up to numerous calls from the National Security Bureau, all claiming the same thing. Alarmed by the news, he contacted the Military and the Minister, and relayed the information securely. Kuwait had its fair share of the events that transpired roughly 5 years ago, back when Coalition Forces had taken back their sovereignty during the Gulf War.

Now, they were effectively alone, and were prepared for it. They anticipated a possible invasion, and had learned numerous things back when they were caught off-guard. No more shall they fall so quickly they hoped. No more shall Iraq spread its wings over sovereign Kuwaiti lands. The Prime Minister, asked for support in the National Assembly, wherein he would ask for Martial Law, so as to control the safety of civilians and enforce strict counter-intelligence policies. It would take roughly a day for the Assembly to reach a decision.

In the meantime, the Emir, now notified of the situation, called for a meeting of the chief officers of the Military, to discuss their options. While the situation may be too small for any kind of large scale response, they decided that it was better safe than sorry, and continued on with plans all pertaining to a possible Iraqi invasion.

For now, mobilization would do.

The Forces above were to immediately mobilize and attend to their command officers when ready. The 32nd Helicopter Squadron, after being briefed of the situation, would be ordered to patrol Abdali, strictly remaining within Kuwaiti Airspace. There they would attempt to relay information regarding Iraqi movements, if any, to the Kuwaiti General Staff. In the meantime, the 16th Fighter Squadron, the 51st Combat Wing, and all remaining units of the Air Force would be kept in reserve until fighting actually breaks out.

The 33rd Helicopter Squadron would be sent out for reconnaissance, by scanning the horizon and looking at the force composition of the Iraqi forces. They would routinely do this and refuel when needed. They would be carrying an armament of 4 AS.11 wire-guided missiles in case of hostile action. They would relay their reconnaisance run to their superiors.

The 6th Mechanized Brigade would be ordered to cover the intersection connecting Nazzal Rasheed Al Moasab st. and the main highway 801. They would plant Mines and charges going south, and effectively deny any civilian commuters of the route. They would then evacuate all nearby citizens to the capital and hunker down and entrench themselves nearby. The 35th Amoured Brigade and the 94th Mechanized Brigade would be stationed in the districts of Al Jahra, Jeleeb Al-Shuyouk, and Al-Adan, creating a defensive line surrounding any known path to the Capital except by water.

Police and other government forces were ordered to ready themselves for an evacuation of the citizens in the case of a siege, with the remaining assets of the army at their disposal. A path was to be cleared to Saudi Arabia if things do go south.

The 15th Armoured Brigade, along with the 26th Mechanized Brigade, would be stationed in Abdali, taking up defensive positions within the town. Certain roads were planned to be barricaded when the invasion was confirmed, and for the meantime these roads would be heavily guarded by the garrisoned forces. While the orders were dispatched relatively quickly, it would take hours before it would come into effect.

Kuwait was nervous to even think of experiencing another war.

The sudden appearance of Iraqi armed forces outside of the embassy immediately alerted the two officers of the security team who were standing guard at the front door. They immediately alerted the embassy's security chief about the situation and the chief informed the ambassador. While the chief left the ambassadors office to join his officers at the front door, the ambassador immediately began calling the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the secure line.

The four man security team from the Diplomatic Security Service would be lightly armed with Walther P99 and Kevlar soft armour vests. The security chief similarly armed, arrived at the front door to stand alongside his two colleagues while the last two officers took positions outside the office of the ambassador. The chief's radio remained in constant connection with the ambassador's office so that he was able to listen in on the situation.

The security chief stepped forward and started addressing the Iraqis, "This is the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, these premises are therefore inviolable. I request to speak with the commanding officer on site."

While this was going on, emergency protocols would be put in effect as the mission's staff began shredding and burning documents as well as destroying hard drives.

This is a Syrian Response and not a response of the Kingdom of Denmark

With the news of the Iraqis beginning to surround Embassies in Iraq, the President of Hafez al-Assad and along with his cabinet as issued a full state of alert with this, the Ministry of Defence has ordered the 3rd Corps based in Aleppo to be placed on high alert and with that troops from the [500] 21st Mechanized Brigade and the [500] 45th Brigade totallying 1,000 troops were to be posted on the border to bolster the defence. Along with the troops to be positioned on the border, a number of equipment was also to be positioned and the Ministry of Defence had chosen [40] T-62 MBTs as well as [60] BMP-1's to help defend the Iraqi-Syrian Border.

The troops would begun ferrying through the logistical divisions and were given Ural-4320 medium troop transports to begin moving to the border. The Ministry of Defence has also ordered that unit(s) from the Airforce specifically 80 Aircrew & Pilots from 765 Squadron which would be relocated to Al-Nayrab Military Airbase with their equipment the [15] Mil Mi-25. These were ordered to fly 2 at a time along the border scouting for any movement, landing and refuelling when needed.

From the interior doorway of the One Canada Square building stood a lone security guard, Derek. Embarking on the first 30 minutes of his shift in a job which had served him and his wife, and two sons both aged 3 very well, sustaining his lifestyle in London pleasantly. His eyes fell on this van that randomly pulled up and was parked in front. The man just exiting casually. At first glance, he shrugged it off. Figuring it must have been a form of delivery.. in which, he wasn't entirely wrong. He gave it several minutes and still no sign of the driver, concerned, he spoke on his radio. "Control, I'm just going to assess a vehicle outside front. Reception is uncovered during this time.". A few seconds of silence and he exited the building, passing his greetings on as people walked passed him to work. Raising his hand, he slid it across the bonnet, working his way down the left side of the van to the back to what was black tinted windows. Cupping his hands to cover his eyes, he peered into the back to see, barrels? Not able to distinguish what it was immediately before his eyes widen "Bomb.." he murmured, swiftly turning around as if he was about to shout of everyone to get clear.

It was too late... The vehicle exploded, sending a ripple through the street and obliterating Derek. Sending crowds of people flying if they were lucky enough to have been further away, those nearby were killed upon impact, heard from blocks away and a plume of smoke followed. The first and 2nd floor engulfed with smoke and flames starting to spread. Outside on the streets was the constant screaming from those who suffered the effect or witnessed it. Urgently turning to their phones to call 999.. which the dispatch center suddenly turned extremely busy. The Watch Officer in the operations center escalated it to a Bronze Command given the amount of records, this putting it under one central point. Across the city, emergency services were deployed to the initial report of an explosion with a mass amount of casualties and fire growing in the ground and first floor. The following response force was deployed:
  • London Fire Brigade
    • 12 Dual-Purpose Ladder Trucks
    • 3 Command Support Units
    • 2 Aerial Ladder Platforms
    • 3 Fire Rescue Units
    • 1 High Volume Pumping Unit
  • London Ambulance Service
    • 4 Fast Response Vehicles
    • 7 Emergency Ambulances
  • Metropolitan Police
    • 13 Incident Response Vehicles
    • 2 Armed Response Vehicles
The initial emergency response is outlined above with the expectation that it would only grow as the situation develops. Individually units begun to arrive, police blocking off streets and ensuring the general public remained back. Ambulance crews setting up a triage area and fire crews focused on fighting the fire. It wasn't long before they became more aware that a chemical agent was present, only causing the scenario to develop further with additional calls for CBRN units from the Met Police, the HART teams with the NHS and Fire Service which were mobilized. The focus was to locate the source, get a sample and eliminate the remainder. Using high powered fans, the Fire Service would hope to dissipate the gas. Those who could get out were put through the evacuation procedures as fire alarms reigned through the One Canada Square building. Some eye witnesses who were a distance from the van begun making statements to police which only verified that this was an intentional act of terrorism. As a result, additional units of armed response vehicles were rushed to the scene.

During the confirmation among Emergency Teams that it was terror-related, over in Hereford, the Special Air Service 21 Regiment, Alpha Troop, were put onto high alert due to their role as counter terror operators. Some which had served in the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege. PEGASUS081, a Royal Air Force Puma was assigned to Hereford in the event they need to move the team across the country as they were unable to confirm that another attack won't occur. A Command Center containing all emergency service heads on scene was formed and together the workers focused on tackling the fires, gas, casualties and preventing any further attacks. Something that Andrew Evans, the Prime Minister, was already in briefings regarding and speculation of a Cobra Meeting been called.

"Boring.. Boring.. Not interested.. boring" spoke the head of security at the British Embassy in Baghdad, working through the most grueling part of his job. Paperwork. Paperwork for any incident they come across and to book in any goods specific for security reasons. Not knowing that everything was about to change, with only a TV in the corner of the room beginning to give live footage of the bombing in London. Suddenly one of his colleagues burst into the room to inform him of the turn of events at the gates which is presenting that the Iraq Government is about to play a move against the UK. Not having any ties to link the attack in London to the situation currently occurring. Regardless, a message was sent out to the UK Government to give them an update and some footage of what was transpiring outside the embassy. Whilst other staff set to calling other Embassies to request assistance. (@John @Zak @Flying Damascas @Logan @Dutchy). A power play was clearly occurring and the UK staff thought it was only happening for them. Security Officers begun to go for the armory and get themselves weapons as a matter of self defence if Iraqi troops forced their way in. In preparation for that, windows begun to be boarded up and security placed in positions around the entry points. The Ambassador came to the top window and shouted over towards the Iraqi Forces. Requesting that they pull away and identifying that the embassy is for the purpose of peace, and cooperation that remains protected by the British Government. @HeadlessSeeker

NORSCOM immediate response to international attacks.

PRIVATE
Norwegian police were quickly dispatched to the Iraqi embassy located in Oslo located on Tidemands Gate. Police blocked off the road at the intersection Gyldenloves Gate and Frognerveien with their police cars and the physical presence of ten officers at either intersection. Outside of the embassy were twenty officers. All of the police were armed with either sidearms of automatic rifles. They were awaiting further orders from the Ministry of Justice as they made sure the Iraqi embassy, and their entire street, was clear of any kind of traffic or pedestrians. Elsewhere in Oslo, the Norwegian High Command raised the Armed Force's alert level to Critical. The King's Guard Battle Group in Oslo was put on standby, and all Norwegian forces around the world were set to mobilize.

With the French Embassy surrounded, the Ambassador and non-security staff would be ordered to shelter-in-place in an interior supply room, as the police contingent barricaded all doors and used what they could to barricade or board up first floor windows. They then set up defensive positions. They would all be armed with Glock 17s, and about a quarter of them were armed with FAMAS G2 Assault Rifles. The Contingent's commander slightly cracked the door to yell out to the assembled soldiers while two of his men began burning papers and destroying hard drives.

"This is the Embassy of the High Kingdom of France, therefore it is inviolable, and an attack on it is paramount to an attack on French soil. I'll need to speak to a commanding officer."

Madrid:
Luwai el-Nasrallah and Taariq al-Sulaiman would return to their hotels to wait out the ensuring chaos. With one dropping the other off before returning to their own hotel. Each one individually packing their things, knowing that soon they would be on the run. The blast would of injured somewhere in the thousands and killed somewhere in the 300s. No way for them to know, but there were certainly that many people around. Saddam had wanted revenge, and it seemed he was having it across the board. But the only question now, was whether or not Iraq would accept responsibility or try and deny it. This the two agents did not know, and nor did they know if they would be able to get out of here. Spain's role in the Coalition during the Gulf War had been relatively small, but yet they had still been there. Hence Saddam's choice to attack them.

Shabaan el-Kamali and Uwais el-Ozer were also making their get away in the choked New York streets. The notorious traffic being difficult for them to navigate. They had never seen anything like it, especially in the panic of what they had just done. The explosion and ensuing chemical spray from the rather basic chlorine gas had killed somewhere in the ball park of the hundreds range and injured many more due to the choked nature of the New York streets. The two of them would do their best to return to their hotels but it was obvious they were not going anywhere quickly.

London:
Hasan el-Salloum and Aadam el-Aman had been quick to get away, especially under the eyes of that officer. When the explosion sounded in the distance they were determined to get back to their hotels. The London streets were notorious for being ancient with difficult to navigate roads. It was so difficult to become a taxi driver in this city. The two men argued at some length about which way to go as they left the scene having just bombed London's tallest tower and killed hundreds for Saddam.

Oslo:

The Iraqi embassy located in Oslo located on Tidemands Gate notified the Iraqi Government of what was occurring outside their embassy. They were told to not resist, but instead destroy all documents while they could. So that is what they did. The smell of smoke could be smelt outside as documents were shredded and burned. Non of it was important, but Saddam knew it would be frustrating to who ever had to go through the scraps non the less.

1996
Iraq
Belgian/US Embassy

A total of four Lion of Babylon Main battle Tanks sat with their guns pointed at the front of the joint US/Belgian embassy. The US did not ave it's own dedicated Embassy hence why there were now 100 Republican Guard and four tanks here. The tank's would upon being informed that the Americans were moving onto the roof by the Republican Guard forces present would man their 12.7 mm DShK AA machine guns. Aiming them towards the roof while the main guns were still pointed at the walls and through the front gate. Republican Guard forces surrounding the compound entirely taking up defensive positions at the walls or behind the tanks. Aiming back at the US Soldiers and Belgian Security Guards.

The apparent Commander of these men came up to the front gate with a white flag which he waved around to signal he was coming to the gate to talk."Your time is up. Unfortunately for the Belgians we must go through them much like the Germans did. Though unlike the Germans, the Belgians are considered enemies as well. If you surrender peacefully you will be treated humanely. If you do not, then this entire building will be reduced to rubble by sundown. Destroy all the documents you want, it is not what we are here for. You are surrounded, and out gunned. What is your answer?"

@John @Flying Damascas

Netherlands Embassy

After hearing the request a republican Guard officer stepped around the lead Lion of Babylon tank. A thick mustache on his face and crooked beret on his head."You are speaking with him now. If you and all those in the embassy surrender now, then there will be no violence. I will give you an extension to get all your affairs in order. But do not use it to fortify, for we have many more of these." he said gesturing back to the tank.

@Dutchy

British Embassy

Suddenly a voice sounded out from behind one of the tanks, peering from behind with a megaphone."You will surrender now. You will not be harmed. If you and your embassy staff surrender we will not have to force our way in. You are clearly at disadvantage. surrender now and be treated humanly." The Republican Guard however seemed to take notice that the British were boarding up and fortifying. The lead tank started up and turned it's turret around as it lined up with the front gate/door. A squad of Republic Guard wearing their distinctive helmets and unfiroms behind it.

@Jamie

French Embassy:

A a tall lanky man with a tired expression came up to the French gate after shooing away one of the Republican Guard."You heard our initial order. Whats the hold up? Do you really want to try your luck with the tanks?" he asked seemingly annoyed as he adjusted his beret."Surrender yourselves now and no one gets hurt. It should be pretty obvious what is happening here right?"

@Logan

Spanish Embassy:

The Commander of the Republican Guard Forces at the Spanish embassy condescendingly looked at his watch."No response? Send the tank in." he gestured forward as the lead tank started up and began to run over the front gate. Republican guard forces following close beind te tan using it as cover. They werent opening fire yet."We are coming in! Do no resist or you will be fired upon!" the storming of the Spanish embassy had started.

Over the coming hours, firefighters and chemical weapons teams from the National Police Corps had finally started to get rid of the chemical weapons agent from the atmosphere by the means of highpowered fans which pushed the chemicals into higher altitudes which then made it useless, before this, a sample of the atmosphere would be taken by one of the chemical weapons experts to be taken back to the lab for testing. The area was able to be examined by the chemical weapons team to decide what had gone on. They still made sure to wear all equipment to protect themselves in case. Fire crews made their way through rubble as they finally saw the true extent of what had happened as they attempted to locate any survivors. More and more ambulances had been brought into action to ensure that any survivors could be taken to hospital as quickly as possible and they would be taken to a number of hospitals across the Community of Madrid so that each hospital had their fair share of cases and not to keep it to a number of hospitals.

Hospital Universitario Fundación Alcorcón
Hospital Universitario del Henares
Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre
Hospital Carlos III
Hospital Universitario La Paz
Hospital Universitario Infanta Leonor
Hospital Clínico San Carlos
Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal
Hospital Universitario de la Princesa
Hospital Infantil Universitario Niño Jesús
Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón
Hospital Dam
Hospital Central de la Defensa (Military)

Police officers patrolled the streets of the Community of Madrid to ensure that the lockdown was being enforced, they would be accompanied by the Civil Guard who had also been called into action to assist with the terrorist incident.

The National Institute of Health Management had reported through official channels that so far, 142 people had perished through the incident, 442 people were in a serious but stable condition and 199 people are in intensive care, the figures would increase in the coming days as treatment would decide the fate of the victims.

The Danish personnel would be told to land at Getafe Air Base and had been given permission to transit through Madrid airspace as it had been closed down upon declaring of the lockdown. The personnel and their equipment would be taken to the National Police Headquarters via the means of a handful of Santana Anibal's from the Spanish Army so they could get there without having to do multiple trips, where a sample of the atmosphere and its chemical compounds remained under armed guard so that the Danish experts could work alongside the Spanish police to determine what chemicals had been used.

@JamieA

At the Iraqi embassy, security personnel would be ordered to defend any intrusion on the Spanish embassy and would take up defensive positions around the embassy and they would ordered to shoot on sight at the sign of any Iraqi personnel. Diplomatic staff would quickly dispose and burn any documents and incinerate any hard drives to get rid of any information as the Ambassador was told to hunker down in the office and that was what he did, under his desk.

The Helicopters would be ordered to do more reconnaissance runs, and eventually, would spot the Iraqi forces gathering at Khor Al Zubair, and Um Qasr. After relaying information to the ground units stationed at Abdali, they would head to a nearby helipad to refuel. The 8th Artillery Battalion would be ordered to train their MLRS and their M-109AB at the coordinates suggested by the Helicopters and were ordered to fire as soon as the order was given. Two BM-30s would be loaded with 9M55C thermobaric missiles, the remaining five would be loaded with 9M55K cluster munition type missiles.

The remaining PLZ-45s would train their guns at targets near Um Qasr, and a similar order was given. They would wait until further instructions.

All civilians at Abdali would be ordered to head for the Capital immediately. The town would effectively be turned into a make-shift open-field fortress, streets would be littered with mines, areas would be blocked to encourage bottle necks, and detonation charges would be set on key positions leading into the town. Infantry would be ordered to occupy defensive positions, while armored vehicles would be effectively made into bunkers.

The 16th Tank Battalion would be held in reserve a few kilometers south from the center of the town, particularly at 29.863108, 47.716271. They would dig up positions creating a defensive line stretching 4 km long. Personnel would be briefed of the situation and were expected to hold off any Iraqi attack.

After confirmation of possible SRBMs through reconnaissance, the 16th Fighter wing was scrambled for potential action. The 9th and 25th Fighter Squadrons would take off and maintain altitude at around 30,000 ft. They would be armed with 2 AIM-9 Sidewinders on the wingtips, and 8 AIM-120 AMRAAM. They would aim to protect the remaining fighter squadron in the case of enemy intervention.

The remaining Fighter Squadron would be armed with 2 AIM-9 Sidewinders at the wingtips, and 4 AGM-65 Mavericks. They would take off and climb at around 10,000 ft. They would aim to strike at the spotted launch sites and quickly return with as little casualties as possible. They would use their aircraft for their advantage, as these launch sites would not be present without potential enemy anti-air.

Civilians would be warned in advance of possible missiles striking, and were ordered to seek shelter. Civilians outside Kuwait city would be ordered by police for their evacuation into Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Arabian government would be notified of the crisis.

((OOC note: This happens in tandem with Kuwait's mobilization announcement))

Second Lieutenant Payne approached the gate as the Republican Guard came with the white flag. Listening to what he has to say, before speaking his own mind. "You know I can't surrender this embassy until I know all of the civilians inside have the option of safe passage home. They have diplomatic immunity." He had kept his finger on the radio the whole time, relaying what was being said back to the Ambassadors office.

All but one of the DSS Agents would leave the Ambassadors office, to head down and join the Marines. One of them would dart off into the armoury, grabbing a MOLLE rucksack and placing three HEAT rounds for the M136 launchers and taking them downstairs with him. The Agent would place the back down next to one of the men with launcher, both of whom had their launchers trained on two different tanks. One the roof, the M40 sniper had his rifle trained on one of the HMG gunners, whilst the M14 rifleman had his trained on a separate gunner.

The Agents took defensive positions and trained their weapons on soldiers behind the gates. They knew they were outnumbered. The Ambassador issued another SOS to the US.

The Embassy couldn't be left alone, it needed to be helped - it was decided by the US Government that they needed to help.

Rather than the usual 24 hours given to crew to be ready for deployment, it had been cut to 12 hours so that a rescue can be mounted quicker for the embassy personnel. The chart and course was to be decided after they have sailed.

The Belgian security detail at the Embassy in Baghdad would split into two separate task forces each comprised of ten member with a machine gun crew between them to provide fire support and suppression. Within the two teams were three riflemen equipped with FN FNCs and M72 LAWs who were tasked with knocking out enemy armour and potential strays to maximize casaulties. Several of the squadmembers would also be issued 1 PRB M3 mine per person, the objective was to aid the Marines in defending the embassy and evacuate staffmembers wishing to return home. An air of tension swept through, it would not be long before carnage erupted as the minutes grew every so shorter.

As the Iraqi commander stepped forward the Security Chief began addressing him, "Sir, I'd like to request what this is all about. This is a diplomatic mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and therefore protected by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. In the event that your government is expelling this diplomatic mission then I require a official order by your Minister of Foreign Affairs."

There was clearly some discussions behind closed doors in the British Embassies to decide how to best approach the situation. Outgunned, Outnumbered, no response from other nearby embassies and no British Forces in the area that could assist. The Ambassador had a tough decision to make, knowing full well if they fought, they would die. With that in mind, a final message was sent out to the UK government and then staff begun to burn any paperwork and destroy any computers within the embassy. During that time, the Ambassador walked out and shouted over the fence. "We surrender.." is all he spoke, turning back into the building. He gave it a few minutes to finally remove all information from the systems and burn paper trails. Moments later, the embassy gate was opened. The end of the transmission to the UK Government stated "Iraq has fallen. I repeat, Iraq has fallen.".
Hearing of an intent from the US to deploy a strike group to the region, hopefully to rescue those from the Embassies, Prime Minister Andrew Evans opened a communication line for those impacted. Back in London, the bombing is still covering news channels as Emergency Services continue their battle. It was mostly the aftermath of the event with the fire service conducting safety checks, the CBRN teams confirming the dissipating of the gas and the local NHS Hospitals packed with casualties. Attention turned to the police who had been taking witness statements and reviewing CCTV. It wasn't long before the van was located on the camera's which gave a visual of who exited the vehicle. This giving a name and photo of the Iraqi terrorist by cross referencing it with border control records. An alert was sent out for his arrest or if anyone had any further information.

The Brazilian Embassy in Baghdad was peaceful for the most part..until the sound of tanks and other military units could be heard echoing the streets of Baghdad, one of the security personnel of the embassy peaked out of the front door, watching the sudden movement of Iraqi troops with surprise, he quickly walked back into the building, rushing towards the Ambassador's Office and knocking on the door.

"
Come in." Said the Brazilian Ambassador, the following conversation would be completely in Portuguese. The security guard would enter the room and shut it behind him.

"
Sir, I wanted to notify something I saw while on guard at the door...Iraqi troops are moving through the City they seem to be from the Guard...but, something just doesn't feel right."

Inside the Room was the Brazilian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr Miguel de Noronha, a man in his early 40s, he lifted his gaze up to the Security personnel, responding to his words.

"
Are you sure you didn't see some sort of Patrol?-" His remark was cut short by the loud sound of tank tracks, as the commotion at the Spanish Embassy echoed down the street to the Brazilian one.

"
Meu Deus...report to the Security Officer! Tell him to execute the Security protocol of the Embassy!"

The Security personnel quickly nodded before rushing off of the Ambassador's office, Miguel was quick to call Brasília, establishing an encrypted communication with the Imperial Government to notify them of their next actions, the Ambassador also took the opportunity to secretly notify the other embassies of what was occurring, especially their Portuguese allies.

Meanwhile in Brasília...

Pedro Santana Galego, Chief of International Relations sat in his office, drinking a cup of coffee as he stared out the window of the Department's Building. The streets of Brasília bustling with cars...however, his peace was soon interrupted by the ringing of his phone, picking it up, he received the news straight from the Embassy, maintaining the encrypted communication line, his face being a serious and focused one, different from the relaxed and laid back one he had a few seconds ago.

Chief Pedro Galego quickly informed the Prime Minister, who personally made his way to the Imperial Palace to deliver the news to the Emperor himself, his Imperial Majesty would call for an emergency meeting regarding the situation. The Empire of Brazil would continue watching the situation closely.

Back in Baghdad...

The Brazilian Embassy quickly fortified itself, using the furniture available to blockade the windows, using similar plans made in Belgium to fortify the Embassy and moving the Offices to the most secure positions within the building, through an encrypted line, the Ambassador would continue communicating the situation with Brasília.

The Security Personnel were armed with Imbel GC Pistols, Imbel M964 Battle Rifles, H&K MP5 Submachine guns 4 FN Minimi Machineguns with 1 Imbel AGLC Sniper rifle stored if necessary.

The Machine guns were placed on fortified positions, two on the top floor and two on the bottom floor, with armed personnel standing in the other windows and blocked off entrances of the embassy, the troops stood guard in front of the windows, watching for any Iraqi troops.

As no harm had been made to the Embassy yet, the Troops were ordered to keep their weapons fully loaded in the case of hostility but were ordered to hold fire.

JAPANESE EMBASSY, BAGHDAD

The morning of the events above was a normal one for the small Japanese embassy in Baghdad. News had reached the embassy of attacks across the world. The few assembled in the embassy received the news from Tokyo. It was terrible but it felt far off. No one knew who was responsible. Their regular lives were unaffected. The staff performed their normal duties until the sounds of military equipment rolling through the embassy rows of Baghdad reached the ears of the Japanese. One Japanese staffer was passing by the American embassy when the tanks rolled through. What was happening became quickly clear and he ran for the Japanese embassy and reported the news. The embassy had only five guards, they were from the original national volunteer force. They were there mostly as personal bodyguards to the ambassador. They would not be able to stop any form of attack. The ambassador and the few staffers evacuated the embassy and began fleeing the country towards Israel. The embassy team would keep in contact with Tokyo via secure and encrypted satellite phones.

Deescalation Talks

Dear President Hussein,

We greet you warmly yet cautiously. It has come to the attention of our government that Iraqi forces have been deployed against embassies within Baghdad and along your borders. We kindly remind the Iraqi government that embassies are the sovereign territory of the host country. We are unsure what has caused the current problems. We offer Japan as a third party facilitator of discussions to deescalate the current tensions. We believe that an attempt at diplomacy must be made to resolve whatever grievance Iraq bears against the threatened nations. We urge your government to follow international protocol and pursue a peaceful resolution.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Yours Sincerely,

橋本 龍太郎

This is a reply as the Syrian Government and not the Kingdom of Denmark

With the Iraqi Forces moving towards the border however not crossing it, the Syrian Armed Forces would continue be on high alert across the border. In response to the Iraqi Aircraft, the Syrian Government knew it wouldn't be able to match or even counter it however gave it a good solid try, with Military Air Traffic Controllers monitoring the radars would notice numerous blips on the radar, although not crossing the Syrian border as of yet, an alert went out to the nearest airbase that was operational which was Abu al-Duhur Military Airbase which housed 678 Squadron which operated the MiG-23MS, Hama Military Airport was also placed on alert with the following squadrons and aircraft; 679 Squadron & the MiG-21MF/UM, 680 Squadron & the MiG-21MF/UM as well as 19 Squadron operating the MiG-29, each aircraft would be fully fuelled and fully armed, only the aircraft from 678 Squadron totalling 14 Pilots and 14 Aircraft would take off rolling down the tarmac heading towards the Syrian/Iraqi border while the Hama Military Airport squadrons would wait on the ground ready to take off within seconds notice.

The Syrian government would play it safe and issue a warning to the globe and a plea for help and would give information that the Iraqis were mobilizing on the border while a small but lethal air units would be moving towards the Syrian base also. A plea would go out to the Nordic Council (@Odinson, @Connor & @JamieA) as this would be the only known group in the globe as of yet for help, although not having strong ties with other European nations Spain (@Zak) and Great Britain (@Jamie) as well as the North American power house the United States of America (@John) was asked for help too.

@HeadlessSeeker
This is a reply as the Kingdom of Denmark in response to the Spanish and Danish meeting

With the Danish Aircraft now safely on the ground, all troops and equipment would be moved to the Area of Operations (AO), however before setting foot into the area the convoy would've been asked to pull over so that the Danish teams could don their CBRN uniforms before continuing travelling into the affected areas. The main role of the Danish forces would be to support and test the chemicals used in the current attacks and rely information onto the Spanish medical authorities to help treat any casualties. Now being in the affected areas, the Danish Forces in teams of five (5) which would make four (4) teams would begin testing different environments and mixing difference chemicals to begin gaining results however it could take up to four (4) days to get a definitive answer. Once any information has been gained, both the British and American health departments would be notified as well due to the fact that a similar attack happened.

New York, London, and Madrid

Madrid:
Luwai el-Nasrallah and Taariq al-Sulaiman after returning to their hotels would huddle down and turn on the news individually to see what kind of damage they had pulled off. No way were they going to move around while a lock down was in place. The chemical protection employed by the res ponders would be very effective due to the chemical being chosen being very simple and basic. it certainly was not military grade. The seals on standard issue protective equipment would do fine. Now, it was time to figure out how they were going to get back among all of this. Iraq had not really thought up an exit plan at this point. However, they had been rather successful.

@Zak

London:
Hasan el-Salloum and Aadam el-Aman would eventually make it back to their hotels with one dropping the other off. Each going back to their hotel rooms and turning on the tv. They were trying to figure out if they ad been made. It was clear something was up, but they were not sure at this point. Those CRBN teams had no trouble with the chemicals or clean up. Results were less then favorable, but the initial impact was unmistakable. With them being surrounded by water the two of them were unsure of their exit strategy.

Belgian/US Embassy

The Republican Guard Commander tossed an idea around in is head back and forth."Alright." he said with a pause."You have my word as an officer that all civilians inside will have safe passage home." he would say wondering simply if the American soldier was delaying him or being genuine or perhaps both."Can you communicate to the Belgians this garentee? I also promise that all government personnel will be treated humanely. "

@Flying Damascas @John

Netherlands Embassy

The Republican Guard Officer turned and whistled sharply back to the soldiers. One of them, the second in command came up with an envelope."Here you are." he would say taking the envelop and presenting it."An official order by the minister of foreign affairs. Would you like to read it?"

@Dutchy

British Embassy

With the surrender of the embassy and the gates being opened the Iraqi soldiers would enter filing in. Securing all personnel inside as they filtered in. In teams of eight they gathered up British Embassy staff, disarmed security, and zip tied their hands together. It wouldn't take long for them to determine that the British had shredded all important documents."Alright, lets take you to see the president." the Republican Guard commander said.

@Jamie

French Embassy:

After hearing nothing from the French the Iraqi Commander on site waved forward one of the tanks. Running over the gate the Republican Guard filtered in and began busting down doors. They would search the place from top to bottom rounding up embassy staff and security going to disarm them. On approach they made their orders clear. Unarmed staff didn't have weapons pointed at them as they were firmly ordered to come with them, while security staff were treated a little harsher with stand off behavior.

@Logan

Spanish Embassy:

Upon first contact as Spanish security staff opened fire from their defensive positions the Republican guard took some initial causalities. Five or six having not expected to be fired upon. The response was immediate as the Lion of Babylon tanks opened fired. Firing into the floors where incoming fire was coming from and issuing suppressing fire with their coaxial and anti air machine guns. Using the suppressing fire from the tanks the Republican Guard troops rushed in and began battering down the front door.

The 3rd Air Defense Sector with it's radar systems would be able to detect the approaching Kuwaiti aircraft. In an attempt to frighten them off from their attack vector they began lighting them up with their radars. The closest location was not close enough for an effective intercept. They didn't want to waste missiles. However, they transmitted this intel to troops on the ground and aircraft by first informating headquarters who then transmitted it to the troops on the ground and then to the airforce who then informed the planes in the air. Radar then proceeded to send out a launch signal in order to fool the aircraft into believing a missile was on the way. Due to them not having the equipment on and to determine type, distance, or location they had no way of knowing whether or not they ad a real missile launched at them.

The 15 MiG-29 and 15 MiG-23 would upon being informed of the incoming Kuwait aircraft begin an interception course breaking away from the main formation. With search radars the MiG-29s would be able to spot the Kuwaiti aircraft at 150km and then at 100 Km each would individually get weapons lock on a Kuwait aircraft.

The 51st Mechanized Division would mobilize moving in a spearhead to take Abdali. Moving down highway 80 and then peeling off from there into Abdali at various points along the highway. Highway 80 would act as an artery through which 51st Mechanized Division would receive supplies as they swept through the area. When ever they met resistance they would call in artillery strikes and in general level the place rather then dealing with building to building fighting. Tanks moving through the city would receive infantry support and support from the SPAA. Infantry would avoid fighting armor at every turn and instead retreat to call in support from armored units. If forced to they would attempt to flank the fighting vehicles by going down separate routes and hitting them from the rear.

The 6th Division basing itself at Um Qasr also got the go ahead to move in now. Heading south and securing areas along the route 801. As they went they would station a company at every mile to secure what they had gained and to maintain their supply route. The idea was two fold. To ead to the south so they could set up artillery and bombard Kuwait city and to encircle Kuwait troops caught between 6th Division and 51st Mechanized Division.

The 11th Infantry Division meanwhile was following behind the two other divisions filling up the gaps left behind by them. However when the go ahead was given they began to one by one start launching their ballistic missiles. This was rushed and would not be entirely accurate as they were told that Kuwaiti aircraft were possibly on the way. Four troops armed with 9K38 Igla would begin to load their launchers in a frantic manner.

@Strix

The Iraqi government was currently waiting to see how well operations in Kuwait were going before giving the green light to move into Syria. However when Iraqi radars and the radars on the 15 Mirage F1 and 15 MiG-23 detected Syrian inbound aircraft it was decided to shadow them on their side of the border. This was a good opertunity to see their reaction time and time to intercept before going all in. Also a good way to bait out the curious Syrian airforce. The order was given, attempt to provoke the Syrian airforce into getting closer so that they could make visual contact. The Iraqi aircraft proceeded to continuously back away and then approach te border as if intending to breach it before backing off again. All the way right up to when the Syrian air force arrived.

At the same time from Bara two BMP-2 with a full complement of troops would set out to scout out the Syrian border. Going to 36.360311, 41.293036 supported by a fuel truck the troops would disembark and begin looking across for any signs of Syrian military build up. From their vantage point they noticed the heightened presence of military assets. Patrols and the like. It was difficult to mask their build up, and the two squads would radio back their findings. With this information artillery began to be dialed in. Positions that looked like they didn't have as much of a presence were mentioned to the armored units.

Syria was a far bigger country ten Kuwait, so it required some more thought they just steamrolling in. They recalled what happened the last time they tried that. Like with Iran.
