SITUATION REPORT

Following conversation with the Iraqi Government it has been agreed to participate in a joint operation to locate, arrest or eliminate Saddam Hussein for his many crimes, most notably the chemical attacks carried out in 1996 which consisted of chemical attacks in the UK and other western countries. With planning on-going, MI6 and UKSF were preparing for their part.

As part of Task Force Grey, a Il-38 Dolphin took off from Nasiriyah Airport. The crew of 8 ready for their mission to Tikrit. The mission was simple, to use the infrared camera of the plane to scout out the suspected location of Saddam Hussein. Security, layout and dangers were to be noted and passed onto the ground assault forces. The crew strapped in for the flight north. The mission was top secret, with the crew forbidden to pass on information.

The plane flew high enough to prevent being observed from the ground. A rouse was used, the plane flew out to the Persian Gulf. It's tracking system turned off before it headed back toward Tikrit. For any onlooked at Nasiriyah airport, it would look like a standard ASW patrol in the Gulf. Travel LM>LM.

The Dolphin crew circle high above the target building. The crew onboard using it's high powered camera to observe the building. The images broadcast live back to the command centre at the MoD.

"This is Celestial-1, visual on target building" The camera operator speaks into his radio as he zooms in the camera. The run down farm house is 3 stories tall with high compound walls. 1 Singular gate controls access into the building's walls.

High on the roofs 2 men paced back and for, both carrying sniper rifles and RPG rifles observed on the building's roof.

"Celestial-1, eyes on RPGs." The camera operator pans onto the inner courtyard. A number of armed men could be observed as well as a run down looking man, pacing in the garden. "Possible eyes on target".

The Camera pans out to the outer fields around the farm house. Groups of men could be seen wandering through the fields. A number of technical vehicles kicked up dust on the outer roads of the farm land. High above, pictures of the building and persons of interest would be beamed back to the Republican Office for the President's immediate attention.

"Celestial-1, mission complete. Returning to base"

The aircraft would turn back around, heading back to it's home base. On it's arrival the crew would be debriefed and reminded that their mission remains tops secret.
