The Cambodian Prime Minister would shoot back with another statement. "It took us so long to make this move because we were busy weighing the pros and cons, then passing the action through our democratic process before declaring anything. As for our men deployed there, they are simply a precaution, proved necessary by spotting your military drones flying in Cambodian airspace. Before when this case was brought to the ICJ, Thailand deployed soldiers to seize the temple. We have no doubt you would try and subvert justice and do it again. Similarly to the time that you forced tens of thousands of Cambodians down the cliff, shooting and throwing rocks at men, women, and children, usherin them into a minefield, where 3,000 died. Our guns are aimed at the sky. Not at Thailand. There is a distinction. The Royal Thai Armed Forces have done nothing to protect your people and your nation- The only things they have done are cut down hundreds of your own people in a short-lived Civil War until foreign powers intervened, and slaughtered tens of thousands of innocent Lao. We anticipate your goons to try and pull some illegal maneuvers. Hence why we do not trust you."
After escorting her up the stairways, he would walk her through the temple, the outside perimeter, outside of the historical area would be covered in Gendarmerie armed with heavy equipment. Inside of every section of the temple itself, there was a much less concentrated maybe 80 men total, armed with rifles, standing guard, with other guards not on shift sleeping in sleeping bags on the ground next to them. The temple was untouched and unaltered. Right around this time, the stand-off at the border would begin, with two machine guns rattling in the distance before a flare would go up, casting long shadows through the temple's openings and across the commander and ambassador.

As soon as the lights on the major Thai highway went out, the Cambodian Gendarmerie would go on high alert. Highway lights never go out at night. When the Thai operatives arrived at the visitors center in their loud armored vehicles, Cambodian officers in a BRDM-2 hidden in the treeline a mere 400 feet away (Cambodian territory), their engines off as it was in a stationary position, would be able to audibly detect the Thai. Immediately they would utilize the NVD sights the scout car is equipped with to spot the over 100 Thai soldiers creeping along the road closer and closer to the Cambodian border. Taking videos and photographs of the soldiers and vehicles, they would radio it into the battalion HQ who would then alert all others. By the time the Thai reached 14.398547, 104.680403, two BRDM-2s stationed a few dozen feet from a temporarily erected border gate, would be able to spot the soldiers using their NVD sights and IR spotlights. After attaining some imagery, they would both aim their main MGs at the sky and fire off a number of bursts of tracer fire. Then a flare would be sent up, illuminating the road, allowing for better visibility of the Thai, where more photographs would be taken. Immediately images would be sent out to news agencies, and the information would spread like wildfire.

"Yes, madam Ambassador. We can confirm we have not stepped foot inside of Thailand. Here, let me show you around the temple."
