This is a Modern Nation's Event, led by HeadlessSeeker who has agreed to roleplay Iraq and it's President, Saddam Hussein. Situations which occur in this Thread are in response to the Persian Gulf War that ended in 1991
The Event will start with Conversations between Saddam and his Peers, alongside Supportive Roleplay to explain the status of Iraq between 1991 and 1996.

  • Anyone can participate in this Event and have correspondence in the Diplomatic Forums should the Situation require it — All Threads related to this Event will be Linked to this Post, for ease of access
  • The Roleplay within this Thread will eventually require Player V Player (PvP) so the Word Count must exceed 80 Words — Under no circumstances should any Participate join with the intent to Annex
    • Participants who use their Military must have a clear Deployment List and use the Transit Map to navigate to and from Locations
  • A Posting Order will be arranged by the Administrators when multiple Players become involved, but I suspect this will not be immediate as the Event calls for a Steady Pace
  • For Roleplay Purposes, Iraq is a member of the Global Assembly and they may be held accountable for what destruction is to come

Above all else, this is for Storyline Purposes and should be an entertaining, yet challenging Event to take place. Operations, of any kind against Iraq should be made with that in mind
This means no Participant should exploit the PvP System, by purposely seeking out every minor detail in a Post to best your opponents. Be fair, be consistent and let the Story flow

Lastly, please contact the Administrators as soon as possible if you do not want to be involved, nor your Nation targeted in any way

UPDATE 17/07/2020: THIS POSTING ORDER MUST BE ADHERED TO AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE —

@HeadlessSeeker , roleplaying as Iraq
@John , roleplaying as the United States
@Strix , roleplaying as Kuwait and Syria (NPC)
@Jamie , roleplaying as Great Britain
@Odinson , roleplaying as Norway
And Finally, @Owen , roleplaying as Australia

Since their defeat at the hand of coalition forces in 1991 Iraq under Saddam Hussein has been licking it's wounds. It had been, and even now hosting one of the largest military in the world. They had thought to rid themselves of their economic troubles by invading their neighbors, only to be pushed back. Saddam has since 1991 been dealing with internal strife that was a result of the 1991 defeat. Trying to quell internal rebellion, and fighting a full fledged civil war with the Kurds. The previous year he had survived an apparently CIA backed assassination plot against him. He had made sure to arrest and kill everyone involved. By now, the situation was under control wit only a few pockets of resistance here and there. Above all, he blamed the US and their coalition allies for setting Iraq to the brink.
Saddam to his people was an aging man, one who could not afford to show the slightest weakness to his people or his enemies. Everything was tightly controlled, and he became more and more suspicious of those he surrounded himself with. Even with internal threats under control, he still looks outwards wanting to make iraq appear strong and with thoughts of revenge never leaving his mind.
"Unrealistic. Why do you keep feeding me these lies?" Saddam Hussein complained annoyed he lowered his glassed as he peered at his Minister of Agriculture."Bring me the actual report next time." he said tossing the folder back at them before dimissing them with a slight wave of the hand. He sighed, his back aching as he readjusted in his seat. These people all lied to him, exaggerating crop yields, or progress in various departments. He always complained, and yet to save their own skin they lied. When he had written his book, even the writers he asked to give him advice lied to him about how good his book was. It was all a game to plot and get on his good side. Annoying. The large six foot tall man took a sip of whine, a pleasure he only took part in private. Word of it was to never leave the private, and if it did he had an idea of who was responsible.

"How goes the rebuilding of the military?" he asked suddenly to Sultan Hashim Ahmad al-Tai who he had appointed last year.

"It is going well. We will be at full strength soon."

'Ah yes, of course they would.' Saddam thought."So your saying we will be ready for another invasion of the Americans by the end of the year?" he suddenly said.

"Yes of course sir! They wouldn't even be able to set foot in our country!" the Minister of Defense beamed with apparent sincerity.

Saddam scoffed before shaking his head. That is when his son Uday Hussein piped in, after a moment."Father, what if we were?"

"Pardon?" Saddam asked looking at his son whom had spoken up. He looked at him as if he was some kind of animal.

"The Americans and British are shadows of their former selves. We could very well have a larger army then them. NATO isnt even a thing anymore."

Saddam curious though still suspicious of his cannibalistic son motioned for him to continue."Your point my son?"

"We can have our revenge... your revenge father. They are not ready for us, but we are ready for them." Uday said leaning forward a bit.

"Hmm, I see. The world has change a great deal. We can secure my place in greatness if we take out our greatest enemies." Saddam said rubbing his chin.

"Yes father." his son said simply.

"Alright, we will strike at them. Hasan." Saddam said pointing to Brg. Gen. Majid Hasan al-Majid."I want agents assembled for an attack on our enemies. Utilize explosives and chemical weapons. I want you to write up a proposal for such an attack and submit it to me by tomorrow."

Hasan nodded."Of course sir. I will have it on your desk tomorrow."

"Not a word of this is to leave this room." Saddam added with a deathly serious look."We shall rise from the ashes of our previous defeat and cast down the powers of the old order." he added as he sat back, drinking a sip more from his wine glass.

Embassy of Spain, Baghdad, Iraq

Juan José Corredor was one of the youngest Spanish Ambassadors posted overseas - specifically, he was just 27 years old but what saw him posted to Iraq was his flurry of bright ideas which drew much respect from his higher ups back in his homeland. He had been posted in Baghdad for roughly 8 months and had took a risk bringing his family with him, his wife and daughter, his wife was a cleaner at the Embassy who didn't like her husband being posted to Iraq due to previous happenings but was always supportive of his career as a diplomat knowing that he was helping his country.

"And just like that, business is starting to pick up." Juan shut the door behind the Iraqi politician as he looked over to the Deputy Ambassador as they potentially could have secured a lucrative deal for Spain to invest in Iraq and open a new diplomatic mission in the capital. The current mission was rather old and worn out.

"Maybe, the rest of the West will follow suit eventually. I bet Madrid are going to love you." The Deputy Ambassador who was more of a father figure to the younger Ambassador smiled, leaving the room allowing the Ambassador to get on with other meetings and emails.

The rest of the day was spent replying to emails from his higher ups back in Madrid about the meeting between the Spanish Ambassador and the Senior Foreign Ministry Undersecretary within the Iraqi Government, little to his understanding what was going to happen in the current hours, days and weeks ahead.

Saddam climbed out from the pool having swam some laps around to get his exercise in. A key to maintaining his image as a strong leader was staving off the progression of age by keeping as fit as he could. He already ad an aching back and slipped disc, which meant he couldn't be recorded walking for more then a few moments. Any outward signs of deterioration would spell disaster for him, and he had to maintain an iron grip. As soon as he was out of the pool one of his aids handed him his robes which he put on. Though soon enough he was flanked by Brg. Gen. Majid Hasan al-Majid.

"Sir, I have the proposal as you requested." the head of the Iraqi Intelligence Service stated showing a folder to Saddam who simply gestured for him to follow.

"I trust that this will not be disappointing. Nor will it be too optimistic?" Saddam asked as he took a seat in a pool side chair before holding his hand out for the file.

"Neither sir. I believe this will be to your liking, and rather realistic." Brg. Gen. Majid Hasan al-Majid said as he handed Saddam the file.

Taking the file Saddam took out his reading glasses and began to flip through the proposal. Pausing at several moments, scrutinizing every inch of the document."Mustard gas?" he asked glancing over his glasses.

"Yes sir. Its simple to make on site." Brg. Gen. Majid Hasan al-Majid said with sincerity.

"I like your choice of targets. Two major market centers, power stations... the explosives is a nice touch... but." Saddam paused seeing there was one bit he found to be unrealistic.

"Drop the plans for the hoover dam. It isn't doable." Saddam said looking up at the man who had handed him this.

"Sir?" Brg. Gen. Majid Hasan al-Majid asked.

"You hear me. It is unrealistic. Using a van and home made stuff wont take it down. I thought you said this was realistic?" Saddam asked.

"Sorry sir. I'll leave it out of the official planning."

"Good. This is ready. Now go get to work assembling a team to do it." Saddam said handing the file back.

"Anything else sir?" he asked Saddam.

"No, not at this time. Now go. I want agents briefed and ready to go tomorrow. Get them their new identities asap." Saddam said waving them off. The thought of revenge was good, and watching Brg. Gen. Majid Hasan al-Majid walk off made him know that he would soon be able to experience it first hand.

The Iraqi Intelligence Service would set up six agents with falsified Iraqi passports and falsified Identification going as far as to enter them into their international database with citizenship info. This was easy as all the Iraqi government had to do was give them new passports and ID for these purposes. Their new names for the duration of this mission would be
Hasan el-Salloum - A 38 year old pharmacist going on vacation
Aadam el-Aman - A 28 year old recent graduate traveling abroad before settling down
Shabaan el-Kamali - A 42 year old Specialist Physician
Uwais el-Ozer - A 24 year old waiter using their tip money to go on vacation
Luwai el-Nasrallah - A 30 year old Massage therapist
Taariq al-Sulaiman - A 26 year old Factory worker
If asked for proof of their employment pone centers would be set up and fake institutions/businesses would be created in the books for look up.

Ahead of time they would book hotels for temporary lodging in New York City, London, and Madrid. They would also arrange for a rent car for them to pick up and drive in. If that wasn't possible they would have to deal with Taxis. Regardless Each would book lodging for a week and rent for a week using shell bank accounts which each had life saving of "50,000 USD" in currency. Each was also going to be given a 100 dollars to carry in hand and be given that in tens of each currency from each country. Flights would be booked to arrive on the same day as the day they were supposed to check in two days.

Due to the way Visas work they could not apply for them for a longer stay. They would have to arrive with their passports and get things done within their allotted time. Otherwise the mission could be on hold for months. So, cover as tourists instead of immigrants would have to do.

Hasan el-Salloum - Would be going to London in the - UK Holiday Inn Express London - Southwark - 103-109 Southwark St, London SE1 0JQ, United Kingdom
Aadam el-Aman - Would be going to London in the UK - Premier Inn London Blackfriars (Fleet Street) hotel - 1-2 Dorset Rise, London EC4Y 8EN, United Kingdom
Shabaan el-Kamali - Would be going to New York in the US - Holiday Inn Manhattan 6th Ave - Chelsea - 125 W 26th St, New York, NY 10001
Uwais el-Ozer - Would be going to New York in the US - Morningside Inn - 235 W 107th St #3020, New York, NY 10025
Luwai el-Nasrallah - Would be going to Madrid in Spain - ibis budget Madrid Centro las Ventas - Calle Siena 10 Paralela Con Alcala 271, Hotel 1, 28027 Madrid, Spain
Taariq al-Sulaiman - Would be going to Madrid in Spain - Hotel Príncipe Pío - Cuesta de San Vicente, 14, 28008 Madrid, Spain

Their flights were booked through Iraqi Airways and three flights were scheduled among many others. One to the UK, one to the US, and one to Spain.

Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport
08:53am

The morning traffic landing in Madrid was like no other, flights from the rest of Europe, flights from Asia, North America and South America all filled the airspace over Madrid awaiting clearance to land, air traffic controllers were coming and going as their shifts ended and began using safety protocols to make sure that all traffic was kept apart safely. It was the turn of Iraqi Airways flight 304 to touch down and they did so at 08:53 in the morning, taxiing through the many taxiways which covered the airport until they came to Terminal 2.

Border agents scattered the many booths in arrivals hall and they were checking all passports and other entry documents from the many flights across the world which had landed in Madrid and they even checked those from the Iraqi Airways flight and the border agents deemed that the Iraqi men listed above could enter the country and stamped their passports and ushered them into the baggage hall to collect any luggage and then they could continue with their onward journey.

With all the travel arrangements in order the agents were given their perspective targets in each country. Bishopsgate and Battersea Power Station for Hasan el-Salloum and Aadam el-Aman. Wall Street and Ravenswood Generating Station for Shabaan el-Kamali and Uwais el-Ozer. Bolsa de Madrid and Plaza Mayor for Luwai el-Nasrallah and Taariq al-Sulaiman. Aside from their travel papers, and papers regarding their lodging they would take with them a suitcase filled with a week's worth of pants, socks, underwear, and shirts as well as basic hygiene kits. In their bags they would take with them some seemingly harmless books two of which were a Chemical Formulary Book and a Electrician Text Book. Mixed in with these two would be books that match their apparent job and interests. A medical textbook, a travel guide, Textbook on Surgery, and a Massage Therapy textbook. Each going to the person that fit it the most. The Chemical Formulary Book and a Electrician Text Book were seemingly normal publications, however they had some modifications. Inserted into them were the instructions for making Mustard Gas, TNT, and wiring for detonating said compounds. As to not draw attention to these pages the agents were to memorize their page numbers.

Luwai el-Nasrallah and Taariq al-Sulaiman would seemingly arrive without incident having been waved through to baggage claims. Once there they would pick up their luggage and each go and retrieve their rented vehicle and or scheduled pickup. From there they would drive following local street laws to their respective lodging. ibis budget Madrid Centro las Venta and Hotel Príncipe Pío where they would check in and go to their rooms.

Hasan el-Salloum and Aadam el-Aman would arrive after departing their airplane and entering Heathrow Airport. Once there they would have their passports ready and ID to display to the Airport agents if present. If questioned their reason for being there was that they were visiting on vacation for a week before returning home. The two of them would make sure not to group up as to draw attention to themselves at this stage.

Shabaan el-Kamali and Uwais el-Ozer would arrive at Kennedy International Airport and give each other a wide birth as they would go through te checkpoint to baggage claims. Wit pass port and ID ready they were prepared to answer any number of questions. They like the others had memorized their fabricated back stories and would simply say they were here on vacation for a week.

"Next please." Officer Roberts said to the first of the Iraqi men, he was the officer incharge of the customs desk today. His colleague, Officer Frank and her German Shepherd sniffer dog - Blizzard, were going up the line sniffing the luggage of those who had arrived on the Iraqi Airlines flight, the dog specialised in drugs. Neither of which would be found on the men.

Madrid, Spain

As with any normal city, police officers from the National Police and Civil Guard were out on patrol as they sought to issue fines and arrest any people breaking the law. It was a quiet shift and officers across the city did not expect any major trouble. As with any officers across Spain, they would be wearing bulletproof vests under their uniform. They had radio systems on their person to communicate with their dispatch centers, they were armed with a Beretta 92FS with three extra magazines if they needed them and certain units were authorised to carry loaded Heckler & Koch G36 and three extra magazines in their trunk if officers sought to use them in a way they deemed necessary.

Following the landing of the aircraft at Heathrow, the two men would have to first get through British Border Control which includes going through passport checks were border guards would input their details onto the system. This making a permanent record to identify the person been in the UK, their origins in both flight and nation they were born in. This took place for anyone entering the country which allowed for the government to handle who was in the UK, and when their visa's or holidays would expect them to have left by, in this case, a weeks vacation. They would need to contact customs to extend that. All of this was monitored to ensure no one was in the country illegally. Following from this, all persons underwent a search of their baggage and on person by trained security officers to highlight any forbidden possessions. Treating any as contraband and acting on it based on the severity. The men underwent their turn, and having now been registered in the databases within the United Kingdom, were successful in passing border controls and ultimately had 'free reign'. The airport itself had quite a presence of plentiful officers from the British Transport Police. Sniffer dogs scanning people as they had went by including the two men. Hopeful to identify anyone that was smuggling drugs in that somehow bypassed the routine border checks.

Upon their exit of the airport, it was a pretty bad day. Met with the downpour of rain and dark clouds as far as the eye could see. Some would call it 'typical British weather', it showed no sign of holding back and the forecast predicted as much for the next few days.

Shabaan el-Kamali approached the customs desk without a moment of hesitation. With passport and ID ready he handed it to Officer Roberts. Uwais el-Ozer was three people back in the line a they wanted to maintain some distance. That way if one of them was pulled aside, not both of them would be caught. Though of course neither of them had any illicit drugs on them, so neither of them were worried about the drug sniffing dog."Always wanted to see the Empire State building. I think I saw it on the way in." Shabaan el-Kamali said doing a little bit of small talk to be personable.

Luwai el-Nasrallah would after checking into the ibis budget Madrid Centro las Ventas would take a rest. Their flight had been long, and the next phase of their journey would start up tomorrow. From inside the room he turned to the modified page and began reading up what he needed for the mustard GAS. He had read it previously, but he needed to make sure he had it memorized. He couldn't be seen reading this book while in a store, as someone could look over his shoulder. Taariq al-Sulaiman was doing much of the same at Hotel Príncipe Pío - Cuesta de San Vicente though instead reading up on how to make TNT. These could be made with simple to buy chemicals and ingredients. If the ingredients could not be found, then there were alternatives that were easier if less destructive.

Hasan el-Salloum and Aadam el-Aman would comply with the search of their belongings, not seeming very worried at all. if questions were raised about the two mission essential books they of course had plausible explanations for having them. An interest in chemistry or electronics. Though thankfully, no questions came up and each was let through being allowed to pick up their luggage and rides. The weather for certain was a stark contrast for the weather back in Iraq. it was dark, cold, and raining which is what they had heard was common in Britain. Hasan el-Salloum would take hids ride to the UK Holiday Inn Express London and check in at the front desk. Aadam el-Aman did much the same but with the Premier Inn London Blackfriars (Fleet Street) hotel checking in at the front desk. The two of them were timely, even if a bit wet for ware. All three groups had a time table to keep now, and they knew that if there were too many delays it could risk the mission.

Officer Roberts would open el-Kamali's passport, looking it over before placing it facedown on the scanner. To check for the RFID chip inside - whilst doing this he would reply. "In my opinion.. it's overrated. The Statue of Liberty is better." Roberts offered the man a smile as he said this. The scanner came up for the passport, the RFID chip was fine. He opened to a blank page on the passport, picking up his stamp and pressing down on it. "Enjoy your stay" Another smile, before speaking over the man. "Next please"

Officers continued to patrol across the city, taking regular breaks when they were scheduled to do so. It was cold in Madrid as with it being February, the highest temperature most days would not exceed 12 degrees which brought cloud and rainy days, very dull compared to the warmer months. Much of Madrid was battered with torrential rain so streets remained much quiet than they normally are. Much of the people heading through the streets were business people heading to work and meetings, locals heading to work, people going to university and tourists.

Shabaan el-Kamali smiled and gave a brief nod."Thank you. I will have to check it out." he would say before departing after being given the clear to go. No doubt the next couple of people in line would get through without issue as Shabaan el-Kamali left Uwais el-Ozer behind. When it was Uwais el-Ozer's turn he approached officer Roberts with his passport and ID in hand before handing it over."I don't think I've ever seen so many tall buildings in one place. Though I heard there is a massive park in the middle of all of it? Green and everything." he asked seeming rather impressed, which he was to a degree. Baghdad had it's share of tall buildings, and he had seen pictures, but that didn't do it justice in person.

There were currently two plans for the explosives. TNT and Dynamite and should those both fail the last option was the simplest to make Gun Cotton. The chemical books they had covered each of them, but special attention was on TNT. They were unaware of what stores might carry what, so there had to be room for changes. Those that had already finished their study of the main formulas they were studying would move onto the next. Also using the typically provided guides would look up local restaurants for meals.

After being given the clear by officer Roberts Uwais el-Ozer would move on through as permitted and would get his ride to his hotel. Shabaan el-Kamali going to Holiday Inn Manhattan 6th Ave and Uwais el-Ozer to the Morningside Inn. Once each got to their hotel they would check in and go to their room and unpack. From there they read up on the instructions and relaxed for some time. It had been a very long trip indeed.

They would need toluene, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid. The plan so far was to buy all of these components from big super stores and the means to mix them from there as well. The idea was simple, purchase lacquer thinner/paint thinner and separate the toluene from the MIBK by using hot water. MIBK being soluble while toluene was not. If possible they would set up a Fractional Distillation method to get cleaner more pure toluene from the solution. As for sulfuricc acid and nitric acid both could be purchased easily by themselves. From there they would follow the three steps of nitration, nitration, and nitration but with increasing temperature.

For the gas, it was determined that mustard gas may be too difficult to procure ingredients for. Thus, they would likely have to fall back onto chlorine gas which was a far simpler solution to produce. Al it require was a common water treatment chemical called potassium permanganate and hydrochloric acid. In theory both of these should be found in stores, but should hydrochloric acid not it can be found in tile cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, and under the pool chemical name muriatic acid. A place to check for both of these would be a pool store.

The search for these compounds would begin the next day.

It was now the next day, and with that in mind Hasan el-Salloum, Aadam el-Aman, Shabaan el-Kamali, Uwais el-Ozer, Luwai el-Nasrallah, and Taariq al-Sulaiman would in their respective timezones wake up in the morning. Around 6:00 AM per time zone they would get dressed, do basic hygiene, and take their passports, wallets, and ID with them. Leaving their hotel rooms they would get their rides. Before going on the hunt for materials they would get breakfast at the nearest place, even resorting to vending machines if they had to.

Shabaan el-Kamali would go to the local Supercenter at 400 Park Plaza Dr, Secaucus, NJ 07094 while Uwais el-Ozer went to the Supercenter at 500 Bayonne Crossing Way, Bayonne, NJ 07002. After parking where they could (not in a handicap parking spot, firelane, or police parking spot) they would head in. Shabaan el-Kamali would purchase 2 containers of lacquer thinner/paint thinner, 2 containers of nitric acid, and 2 containers of sulfuric acid. If non was available he would ask if they had any out back or if any stores in the area had it, and if not if they could order it from their warehouse. Uwais el-Ozer doing much the same except instead he would purchase 2 containers of potassium permanganate and hydrochloric acid or muriatic acid. From there they would bring what they bought to their vehicle, stow it inside, lock it, and then head back inside to buy a camping stove with propane bottles, measuring spoons, measuring cups, glass jars, card board boxes, carpenter mask filters, and mixing spoons. With that done they would bring these back to the car, grab lunch, and then head back to their respective hotel rooms.

Luwai el-Nasrallah after getting their breakfast would go to the Hyperstore at Gran Vía de Hortaleza, s/n, 28043 Madrid, Spain while
Taariq al-Sulaiman went to the Hyperstore at Calle de Valencia, 2, 28012 Madrid, Spain. Luwai el-Nasrallah would purchase 2 containers of lacquer thinner/paint thinner, 2 containers of nitric acid, and 2 containers of sulfuric acid. Taariq al-Sulaiman would purchase 2 containers of potassium permanganate and hydrochloric acid or muriatic acid.

Hasan el-Salloum would after getting their meal as well as their compatriot would go to the superstore at 464 - 504 Old Kent Rd, London SE1 5AG, United Kingdom while Aadam el-Aman went to the one at Anchor Retail Park, 123 Mile End Rd, Stepney Green, London E1 4UJ, United Kingdom. Hasan el-Salloum purchase 2 containers of lacquer thinner/paint thinner, 2 containers of nitric acid, and 2 containers of sulfuric acid. Aadam el-Aman would purchase 2 containers of potassium permanganate and hydrochloric acid or muriatic acid.

This was all if of course they didn't get stopped at any point during their venture. They also made certain to follow traffic laws. The money came from shell bank accounts that had been set up with their fake identities. Fabricated dates in which they were created and fabricated histories to go with.

After obtaining the first batch of materials each team of two would return to acquire more, however, this time they switched stores as to not raise any alarms. If they did this they could avoid people asking uncomfortable questions and have enough to produce what they needed. The goal was simple, produce 100 lbs of TNT and enough Chlorine gas to do some damage. They would be able to do this in just two trips thanks to the average weight of paint/lacquer thinner being about 37 lbs. Which means after two trips they would have about 74 lbs of toluene. They would need some extra however so a third trip was to be in order. By the time they were done with that, it would be dinner time, which they would get some simple fast food.

Upon returning to their respective hotel rooms they would craft their mixing stations, open a window, turn the fan on, and put on their breathing masks. Also, stuff the gap between the door and floor with towels and put the do not disturb sign up. Using the cardboard box they would create a temporary containment station they could work under and ensure not so many fumes escape. Setting up their containers, pots, burner, and the equipment they bought they would begin mixing materials.

One of the pair making the TNT and the other making the Chlorine gas solution. This would be well into the night and be rather time-consuming. The hotel tv would be on the drown out any potential sounds. They made sure to follow the instructions provided in their formula books to the T., Of course, they had to make do with their less then stiller half made labs, but they were making progress. The plan from here was to on the next day craft the detonation devices. A simple enough endeavor.

The time for the Terror was fast approaching, and they knew it. Soon, Iraq would have its revenge.

Saddam Hussein stood there over looking the water as one of his hunting dogs brought him the body of a duck. A water fowl sotgun under is other arm. It ad been a clean shot, and it had been some time since he last used Al-Faw Palace for duck hunting. He took the Duck from the mouth of his dog who he pat and had sit there as he inspected the bird. He glanced over his shoulder as a staff car approached not a part of his entourage. Was it Uday? His monster son? No, he would of arrived in one of those rare cars of his.

Two men stepped from the staff car a it parked. First Sultan Hashim Ahmad al-Tai and then Brg. Gen. Majid Hasan al-Majid. Last time uday was here he had made a massive scene, so it was for the best. His son didn't want dogs collecting the birds he shot, so he forced his friends at gun point to retrieve the shot fowl. This was all caught on camera of course and was rather embarrassing. Maybe he should burn one or two more of his son's prized cars. (Both of these things happened. No really)

"I assume you both have news?" Saddam asked turning to face them as his dog sat next to him.

"Yes President. We have confirmation that our agents have arrived. We will not further confirmation until their mission is over." Brg. Gen. Majid Hasan al-Majid informed Saddam whom seemed to approve.

"Good. Very good. Though when they succeed I doubt it will take long for the world to learn what happened." Saddam said thoughtfully as he hobbled over to them.

"I don't think so President our agents are very---" he was interupted as Saddam raised his hand.

"Do not over estimate our abilities. Especially to me. Now then... Minister of Defence?" Saddam asked looking to Sultan Hashim Ahmad al-Tai.

"Well, it's actually about that. I wanted to present to you the military's own preemptive action to deal with that." he said stepping forward.

"Go ahead." Saddam said curiously

"I believe we should place troops on the border of Kuwait, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Jordan. At the same time we put troops in place to lay siege to the Embassies of Egypt, France, Italy, United Kingdom, United States, Spain, Canada, Netherlands, and Belgium. Especially the Belgians. We have our security forces grab tourists from those countries, and we parade them around for morale. Then when the attacks pop off, we lay siege and preemptively invade. This time, giving a possible coalition no means to safely accumulate troops." Saddam listened to this and seemed to nod.

"Alright, however I want a change made. Leave out Saudi Arabia and Iran. Keep in Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, and Turkey. In fact, I want to go one step forward." Saddam said hobbling up to the MOD.

"We punch right through them, and invade Israel. We secure our hold on this region. if we go in on this, we need to put all the chips on the table. At that point we can extend a hand of friendship to the Egyptians with the territory as an offering." Saddam liking the idea.

"Have the troops ready in 24 hours. Have plans drawn up and shown to me." Saddam said dismissing the two before turning towards the water.

The Kingdom of Belgium through the foreign office would release a statement requesting that its citizens in Iraq take heed of the situation in the region regarding the balance of power and make the appropriate decisions to avoid unnecessary provocations that may jeopardize the livelihood and personal security of its citizens abroad. Belgium's embassy in Baghdad would tighten security with guards being issued live rounds and instructions to retaliate with force in defense of Belgian national interests if attacked. At home, life would continue much as it had beforehand with many among the general public expressing their subtle apathy for events unfolding overseas just beyond the realm of the free press and television.

Over a period of time each of the three teams would produce 100 lbs of TNT with the material gathered and a deadly amount of chlorine gas. Along with this they would purchase components for a detonator to set off the TNT. Assembled from a timer, battery, and some wiring the idea was to have an electric spark set off the explosive material at the end of a count down. This had required some light soldering of course, which they kept away from the unstable chemicals.

With all the chemicals mixed, and hardware for setting them off acquired from the same stores all that was left now was to get them to the location of choice. The TNT was placed into suitcases to hide it from prying eyes while the jars of chemicals were as well. All of the Agents would also at this point rent a rent van for transportation. Using the suit cases for cover they would move the TNT and gas into their single work van. Then, with the hotel staff non the wiser one would meet the other. With one driving the work van to the other they would then wait while the other loaded their 'luggage' into the work van. One would then get in their rented car to act as the get away as they were now ready.

They were now in the end game, and would start heading towards their destinations.

Hasan el-Salloum and Aadam el-Aman were both driving to One Canada Square. Driving through the busy streets they would eventually wind up approaching One Canada Square. The tall building looming over them as they approached. They would have to act quickly in order to get out of here. But that would be simple enough yes? No one suspected a thing. So, one of them in the van drove up to the parking section at 51°30'16.6"N 0°01'10.6"W and parked before going into the back of the van with everything closed. They set the timer for ten minutes and then closed the bag back up. They ten exited the van and closed and locked it before getting in the get away car with the other one.

They drove away putting as much distance between them and tower within ten minutes. But when those ten minutes were up, the brief faint sound of an egg timer could before the entire van, its contents, and it's immediate surroundings exploded with the force of 100 lbs of tnt. Windows shattered, people in the immediate vicinity most likely vaporized. The lower floor and this side of the building no doubt extreme damaged. All at the same time the explosion activated and sprayed out chlorine gas as to make first responder response difficult

@Jamie

Shabaan el-Kamali and Uwais el-Ozer were now driving to the New York Stock Exchange. Driving up to thhe building and parking next to it on broad street the two men would do very much the same. Except, when they were setting the time in the back of the van they would set it for five minutes. Locking the van up they would both get into the get away car and beat it as quickly as they could. Getting as far away as they could they would still be able to heard the 100 lb explosion of tnt. An explosion which damaged the structure, killed the mass volume of foot traffic, and no doubt disrupted the stock exchange. Windows shattered and soon onlookers who were a safe distance away would start to feel the effects of the gas.

@John

Luwai el-Nasrallah and Taariq al-Sulaiman would be now driving to Gate of Europe. They would pull up to the first of the two towers, and park the van as close as possible to one of the entrances. Setting the time secretly for 10 minutes, locking the van, and then getting out of there as quickly as possible. After those ten minutes a 100 lbs of force exploded and sprayed out poison gas. The explosion destroyed windows, bent metal, and killed anyone nearby. The gas finishing off the survivors and hampering first responder response.

At this time the Iraqi Republican Guard would deploy on orders of their President to the Embassies of the UK, USA, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, and France. One Platoon or 50 men per embassy and they were transported to each one via three BTR-60 each. Two Lion of Babylon tanks were assigned to each embassy as well. All vehicles were of course fully loaded and fueled with armaments loaded full of ammunition. The Republican Guards were armed with Pistol Mitralieră model 1963/1965 assault rifles with thirty round magazines. They also wore their iconic black fatigues and iconic helmets. (Yes really)

They surrounded the embassies and gave them an ultimatum as the tanks drove up to the front gate ready to crash through them. Open the gate and surrender in two minutes, or they would come in with force.

Meanwhile the 1st Corps, near Kirkuk which consists of the 5th Mechanized Division, 2nd Infantry Division, 8th Infantry Division and the 38th Infantry Division would begin to mobilize. Positioning themselves at Al Badi, Baa'j, الكرعان, Wardiya, and at Bara. All with guns pointing towards Syria as they began to organize themselves. Such a massive deployment would take some time to organize, and get everything into the correct position as well as to determine which formation goes where. Thus, it was pretty obvious something was going on.

At the same time 3rd Corps from An Nasiriyah consisting of the 6th Armored Division, the 51st Mechanized Division, and the 11th Infantry Division would begin to reposition itself towards Kuwait. Positioning themselves at Safwan, Um Qasr, and Khor Al Zubair. Once in those locations they would begin to determine more of who would go where.

---

At the same time this was all happening twelve tourists in total would be seized. Four Americans, Six British, and two Spanish. This would be kept secret for now.

Two of the nearest officers were parked one mile away and heard the explosion ripple as they snacked on lunch. Officer Ferran Rodríguez and Officer Marta Valdés immediately threw their lunch to the floor and grabbed their loaded Glock 17's from their holsters and looked up as they saw a gas like substance in the distance and immediately radioed this into the control room and it went into complete focus on the attack. The National Police Corps had a Explosive artifacts defuser and CRBN (Chemical, Radiological, Biological, and Nuclear) specialised team in Madrid and immediately deployed all 44 members of the team in full CBRN suits and gas masks to the scene, all the training they had completed about chemical threats would now come into play as they were the ones leading the fight on this.

Over a hundred ambulances based in Madrid would be sent to the incident, declared as a major incident and would park up around two miles from the incident so they could treat any survivors whilst taking care of themselves not to get infected by any of the gas and would wear gas masks provided by their employers.

Fire engines had also been deployed to the scene in CBRN suits to try and hamper the spread of the suspected gas attack, they wouldn't know what they could do until they actually arrived on scene to deal with the incident. Twenty four firetrucks had been deployed to the scene.

Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the President of the Community of Madrid has declared a major incident which allows for the Spanish Army to be deployed if needed. Tourist sites would close with the city being placed into a partial lock down as businesses would close and the police telling people to remain at home. Some businesses would shelter their employees until they could effectively go home.

Prime Minister Pablo Casado would be swiftly moved to an emergency bunker underneath the Palace of Moncloa which would be his residence until the major incident has been lifted.

Embassy of Spain, Baghdad, Iraq

Juan José Corredor, the young Ambassador who had been taking a siesta was rudely awoken to the sound of load machinery outside and opened the curtain to the awful sight of a tank facing right at him. He pressed an emergency buzzer under his side table which sent an emergency signal to the authorities back in Spain and to the embassy security room which officers had picked up the forces outside the room. The ten officers throughout the embassy mobilised with their bulletproof vests being put on and their loaded Glock 17's mobilised in their hands ready to thwart any attempt, knowing they were easily outnumbered.

To attempt to save his and his staffers lives, the Ambassador tried to make contact with his close friend at the Foreign Ministry, he attempted to make contact with the Senior Foreign Ministry Undersecretary to find out what was going on.
