REPRESENTATIVES NAME AND TITLE | Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the Global Assembly
DRAFT RESOLUTION |
The Global Assembly,
Recalling its primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security, in accordance with the principles and purposes of the Charter of the Global Assembly, and reiterating its unwavering commitment to the promotion of global stability, cooperation, and the rule of law,
Deeply alarmed by the escalating conflict between the Imperial Congo (Referring to the "The Imperial State of the Congo") and the Republican Congo (Referring to the "The Republic of Congo"), which has resulted in the catastrophic destruction of Point Noire, the tragic loss of countless lives, and the mass displacement of millions of refugees, causing immense suffering and further destabilizing the region,
Strongly condemning the use of force and violence in the conflict, including any violations of international humanitarian law and human rights, such as indiscriminate attacks on civilian populations, the use of child soldiers, and sexual and gender-based violence, and asserting the fundamental importance of holding all perpetrators of such heinous acts accountable in order to ensure justice for the victims and prevent future atrocities,
Underlining the urgent and paramount need for a peaceful, comprehensive, and lasting resolution of the conflict through inclusive dialogue, constructive negotiation, and unwavering respect for the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference in the internal affairs of states, in accordance with the Charter of the Global Assembly and relevant international law,
Recognizing the devastating and far-reaching impact of the conflict on the civilian population, including the exacerbation of an already dire humanitarian crisis, the disruption of essential services and infrastructure, and the erosion of social cohesion and trust among communities, and emphasizing the need for immediate, unhindered, and sustained access to humanitarian assistance for all those affected, in line with the principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence,
Acknowledging the critical role of the international community, regional organizations, and relevant stakeholders in supporting and facilitating the peaceful resolution of the conflict, the protection of civilians, the provision of humanitarian assistance, and the promotion of long-term peace, stability, and development in the region, in a spirit of solidarity, partnership, and shared responsibility,

UK Ambassador to the Global Assembly, Benjamin Cave, had heard mention of a new resolution surrounding the conflict in Congo. A conflict that appears to be lasting longer than most probably anticipated and is causing mass displacement in Africa. Eager to see an end to it, Ben had already marked himself down as attending and as soon as the chamber opened -- he had entered and took his seat on the desk marked 'United Kingdom'. Before anyone else had arrived, he'd immediately work through the proposal raised by the Thai delegation, taking notes of what he consider the more valuable pieces of information that the Global Assembly needed to consider. For now, he waited patiently for the rest of the GA membership to attend.

Alix Awolowo would stride into the room in his usual pinstripe suit and carrying a large bag, however, this was different from his usual, professional gate. He kept a quick pace and glared at the Thai ambassador's spot. An aide would follow close behind him, carrying two large boxes. By all means, this resolution was a betrayal of their trust- an attempt to undermine the Empire's authority. Taking his seat, Awolowo would break out a bulky metal case, a laptop built specifically for highly classified information, with a built-in visor and blackout screen treatment to ensure it was unreadable to anyone but the user. As well as this he would pull out his usual, slimmer laptop, and a large assortment of folders and files. A brick of a cellular phone - a relic technologically, but highly encrypted and secure - would be sat down on the table around all of the files. If things went poorly here, he had a direct line to Funga 001. He would have little time to spare and begin organizing his things immediately. He would give a short glance to the Brit before focusing back on his work.

In the dimly lit chambers of the Thai Ambassador's office, the tension simmered with the weight of a thousand suns. Suriya Chindawongse, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the Global Assembly, sat at his mahogany desk, its surface strewn with the urgent documents destined for the Global Assembly chamber. The gravity of the situation bore down upon him like a cloak of lead, as if the very air around him had thickened with the intensity of it all. His heart raced in anticipation as the encrypted call line flickered to life, connecting him to the heart of the unfolding crisis in the Imperial Congo. On the other end of the line, the voice of the Thai Ambassador to the Imperial Congo, Mrs. Sopa Pimolkittikool, reverberated with an urgency that only served to underscore the direness of the situation. Her words tumbled forth like the cascading rapids of a torrential river, desperate to relay the critical information that would shape the course of their nation's intervention in the Congolese Conflict.

Simultaneously, the NIA agent at her embassy provided a steady stream of intelligence, conveying classified-sensitive documents that painted a harrowing picture of the conflict-ravaged region. These crucial pieces of information, now in Suriya's hands, would soon be thrust upon the Global Assembly, where the fate of millions hung in the balance. The intensity of the conversation between Suriya and Sopa was palpable, their words interwoven with the very fabric of their emotions. The passion and determination in their voices echoed through the hallowed halls of diplomacy, as they joined forces to craft a strategy to halt the senseless bloodshed and suffering that had engulfed the Congolese people.

"My dear friend, the situation is dire," Sopa whispered, her voice cracking with the weight of sorrow. "The city of Point Noire has been reduced to ashes, and millions of refugees flee in terror, seeking solace from the chaos that has befallen their homeland." Suriya's heart ached at the thought of the immense suffering and devastation. His mind raced as he absorbed each detail, every syllable uttered by his counterpart thousands of miles away. He knew that the responsibility of bringing the matter to the Global Assembly fell squarely on his shoulders, and he was determined to do everything in his power to ensure that the Congolese people received the support they so desperately needed. With steely resolve, Suriya's voice rang clear and resolute. "We will not stand idly by while this tragedy unfolds, Sopa. I will present our findings to the Global Assembly and make it abundantly clear that the time for action is now. We must rally our allies and marshal our resources to put an end to this senseless conflict."

======================

As he spoke these words, his hand gripped the pen that would soon etch a path toward peace and justice for the Congolese people. It was as if the weight of the world lay within that simple instrument, a beacon of hope amidst the dark clouds of despair. The encrypted call line hummed with the energy of their exchange, as Suriya and Sopa, driven by their unwavering commitment to justice, prepared to embark on a monumental journey that would test the very limits of their resolve. The stakes were immeasurably high, the consequences of failure unthinkable. Yet they pressed on, fueled by the knowledge that the lives of millions rested in their hands. At that moment, the power of their words transcended the physical boundaries of their world, forging a connection that would reverberate throughout history. It was an alliance forged in the crucible of adversity, one that would reshape the landscape of their lives and leave an indel.

As Suriya Chindawongse, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the Global Assembly, disconnected the encrypted call, he felt a profound sense of urgency and responsibility coursing through his veins. With each step, he took toward the sacred chamber of the Global Assembly, the weight of the situation pressed down upon him, a burden that demanded the utmost dedication and resolve. The hallowed chamber loomed before him, its walls whispering the tales of countless diplomatic battles and victories. As he entered, the air pulsed with a palpable energy that spoke of the immense power that resided within these walls. This was the arena where the most influential representatives from countries around the world gathered, a place where the fate of nations was decided.

Suriya walked with unwavering purpose, his heart pounding in anticipation of the vital role he was about to play. Upon reaching his designated spot, he beheld the familiar sight of the small, polished brass placard that proudly bore the word "THAILAND." Flanking the placard were the vibrant Thai flag and the distinguished flag of the Global Assembly, symbols of the bond between his beloved nation and the international community. As he stood in the empty chamber, the silence enveloping him, Suriya couldn't help but feel the weight of history pressing down upon him. He knew that within these walls, the voices of countless diplomats had risen and fallen, their impassioned pleas echoing through the ages.

But the chamber would not remain empty for long. Soon, the air would hum with the voices of representatives from all corners of the globe, each with their own stories to tell, their causes to champion. And as they took their places, the enormity of the task before them would become ever more apparent, the delicate balance of diplomacy hanging in the balance. Suriya's mind raced as he awaited the arrival of his fellow diplomats, his thoughts consumed by the harrowing stories he had heard, the images of suffering and devastation that haunted him. He knew that the task before him was daunting, the stakes impossibly high. But he also knew that he carried within him the hopes and dreams of the Congolese people, their desperate cries for help echoing through his very soul.

As the chamber began to fill, the air charged with anticipation, and Suriya steeled himself for the challenge that lay ahead. He knew that the time had come to stand before the Global Assembly and plead the case for the Congolese people, to demand justice and peace for a nation torn apart by conflict. And as he took his place in the hallowed halls of diplomacy, Suriya vowed to harness the power of his words, to give voice to the voiceless, and to fight for a brighter future for all. With each breath, he drew strength from the collective determination of his fellow diplomats, their shared purpose igniting a fire within him that burned with the intensity of a thousand suns. And as the voices of the Global Assembly rose in a symphony of hope and resolve, Suriya knew that they stood on the precipice of history, the fate of millions resting in their hands.

======================

As Suriya Chindawongse stood at his designated spot within the sacred chamber of the Global Assembly, the first representative to enter the chamber caught his eye. It was the British Ambassador, Benjamin Cave, a man whose reputation for dedication and tenacity preceded him. Suriya knew that forging a strong alliance with the United Kingdom would be essential in their shared pursuit of peace and stability in the Congo. The positive relationship between Thailand and the UK was well-established, and he hoped to build upon that foundation in the coming discussions.

With determination etched across his face, Suriya strode towards Benjamin, his steps echoing through the vast chamber, each footfall resounding like the heartbeat of the nations they both represented. As he approached the British Ambassador, he took a deep breath, steadying himself for the conversation that would lay the groundwork for their cooperative efforts.

"Good day, Ambassador Cave," Suriya greeted him, his voice unwavering, and yet tinged with a hint of warmth. "I am Suriya Chindawongse, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand. I have heard much about your commitment to resolving global conflicts and your steadfast pursuit of justice. I am honored to work alongside you in addressing the dire situation in the Congo."

"Ambassador Cave, I wish to impress upon you the gravity of the situation in the Congo and to seek your support in our efforts to bring peace and stability to the region. As you are well aware, the Congolese Conflict has led to immense suffering, displacement, and loss of life. The international community cannot afford to stand idly by while innocent people continue to suffer." Suriya paused for a moment, allowing his words to sink in before continuing. "Thailand and the United Kingdom have long enjoyed a positive and fruitful relationship, and I believe that together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by this crisis. Our combined diplomatic efforts, as well as our shared dedication to the ideals of peace, justice, and human rights, can serve as a powerful force for change."

"We propose a comprehensive resolution that addresses not only the immediate concerns arising from the conflict but also the root causes and the long-term needs of the affected communities. We seek to engage all relevant stakeholders, promote dialogue and negotiation, and work towards a lasting and inclusive peace. Your support, Ambassador Cave, and that of the United Kingdom would be invaluable in achieving these goals." Suriya looked into Benjamin's eyes, his gaze steady and resolute. "I stand before you today, not only as a representative of Thailand but as a fellow advocate for peace and justice. I implore you, Ambassador Cave, to join us in our quest to bring an end to the suffering in the Congo and help forge a brighter future for its people. Together, we can make a difference, and together, we can ensure that the Congolese Conflict becomes a painful memory rather than an ongoing tragedy."

As Suriya concluded his impassioned plea, he could see the flicker of determination in Benjamin's eyes, a shared commitment to the cause shining brightly within them. It was at that moment that Suriya knew, with certainty, that the United Kingdom would stand with Thailand in its pursuit of peace and justice for the Congolese people. Jamie

======================

As Suriya Chindawongse returned to his designated spot in the chamber, a solemn weight settled upon his shoulders. He had just made progress in securing the support of the British Ambassador, but the challenge had only begun. As he watched the Congolese Ambassador, Alix Awolowo, enter the room, Suriya could sense the tension and apprehension radiating from him. It was evident that Alix's heart was heavy, torn between loyalty to his country and the undeniable suffering of the Congolese people. Suriya's eyes locked with Alix's for a brief, powerful moment. Their gazes spoke volumes, two ambassadors on the precipice of a delicate dance between diplomacy and the harsh realities of human conflict. The Thai Ambassador's heart ached with empathy for his Congolese counterpart, but he also knew that he had to remain steadfast in his mission to bring peace and stability to the region.

As Alix hurriedly settled in, organizing his documents and preparing for the impending discussions, Suriya couldn't help but notice the old, encrypted phone and the bulky laptop amidst the files. It was a stark reminder of the high stakes and the intense pressure that weighed upon Alix's shoulders. Suriya understood that the Congolese Ambassador might perceive the proposed resolution as a threat to the Empire's authority, but it was crucial to convey that their intentions were noble and aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Congolese people. Drawing a deep breath, Suriya composed himself, steeling his resolve to navigate the intricate web of diplomacy that lay ahead. He knew that the task of convincing the Congolese Ambassador would not be an easy one, but the lives and well-being of countless innocent people hung in the balance. It was a responsibility that Suriya carried with the utmost seriousness and determination, his heart aching with the knowledge that every moment of delay could mean more suffering for the people of the Congo.

In the hallowed chamber of the Global Assembly, Suriya Chindawongse stood tall, the weight of his mission pressing down upon him like an invisible mantle. As the other representatives began to file into the room, he braced himself for the difficult negotiations to come. With every fiber of his being, Suriya was committed to championing the cause of peace, understanding, and hope for the Congolese people, even as he navigated the treacherous waters of international diplomacy.

As Suriya Chindawongse finished contemplating, he decided that the time for action had come. He mustered his courage and strode toward the Congolese Ambassador, Alix Awolowo, who was surrounded by his aides. The moment Suriya began walking toward him, an NIA agent outside the chamber could be seen, ready to interfere and enter the room. However, he was stopped by a subtle yet commanding glance from the Thai Ambassador. The NIA agent halted in his tracks, prepared to take any necessary action to protect Suriya if the situation escalated, his concealed FN-Five-seveN covered in a custom-made carbon fiber holster to avoid detection.

As Suriya approached Alix, he carefully chose his words, knowing that this conversation would be a delicate and pivotal moment in the negotiations. He offered a respectful nod to the Congolese Ambassador before addressing him:

"Ambassador Awolowo, I am Suriya Chindawongse, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand. First and foremost, I want to emphasize the importance Thailand places on our relationship with the Congo. Our intentions in proposing this resolution stem from a place of genuine concern for the suffering of the Congolese people and our commitment to achieving peace and stability in the region."

Suriya paused for a moment, allowing his words to sink in, before continuing:

"I understand that you may perceive our efforts as undermining the Empire's authority, but I assure you that our primary goal is to work together with your government and the international community to alleviate the dire situation in the Congo. We truly believe that by joining forces, we can make significant strides in addressing the humanitarian crisis and pave the way for a brighter future for the Congolese people."

The Thai Ambassador's eyes conveyed the sincerity and determination behind his words, as he concluded:

"Please know that we value our partnership with the Congo and are committed to acting in the best interests of your nation and its citizens. Let us work together to find common ground and achieve the lasting peace and prosperity that the people of the Congo so desperately need." Kelly the Mad

Ambassador to the Global Assembly Dean O'Dwyer who was representing the Republic of Ireland would enter. A suitcase in his hand which had contents put together by the Department of Defence. For some time now policy had displayed the Irish talk of a willingness to use their Defence Forces for peace keeping measures, and now that a opportunity had arrived, they were eager to do so. Though the DOD had been watching the situation in the Congo from a distance for some time, and had been making plans.

Taking his seat the man would glance around the room, taking stock of who was here, and who had yet to arrive he tried to get a read on the room. His eyes landing finally on the British Ambassador. What would come next would be key in determine how hard he would push for peace keeping.

Writing a note, he would get up and walk over to the British ambassador, and would offer a handshake."Ambasador Cave. Good to meet you." He would say though had an objective. If the handshake was accepted, his would be firm and confident."Listen, I want us to move with unity on this. Ireland supports a peace keeping mission. But, if the UK doesn't we don't want to destabilize these talks." He said his voice lower so the other Ambassadors outside of himself and Cave couldn't hear.

As Suriya Chindawongse observed the Irish Ambassador, Dean O'Dwyer, enter the room, he couldn't help but notice the intensity of the man's gaze. Suriya's instincts told him that Ireland's involvement could be pivotal in their shared pursuit of peace in the Congo. He knew that seizing the opportunity to address his concerns privately with the Irish Ambassador might be crucial to the success of the upcoming talks. He watched with keen interest as Dean O'Dwyer approached the British Ambassador, Benjamin Cave. The exchange between them appeared to be discreet, and it was clear that something important was being discussed. Suriya's mind raced, contemplating the potential implications of their conversation and how it might impact the negotiations.

Realizing that the moment was ripe for action, Suriya gathered his thoughts and took a deep breath, ready to seize the opportunity to forge a connection with the Irish representative. As Dean O'Dwyer concluded his conversation with the British Ambassador, Suriya approached him with a sense of purpose, his eyes locked on the Irishman. "Ambassador O'Dwyer," Suriya said with a firm, respectful nod. "I am Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand. I couldn't help but overhear your conversation with Ambassador Cave, and I share your concerns about the situation in the Congo. I believe that unity among our nations is essential in our quest for peace and stability in the region. Thailand is committed to working together with like-minded countries, such as Ireland and the United Kingdom, to ensure the success of our peacekeeping efforts and the well-being of the Congolese people. I hope that we can count on your support as we navigate these complex negotiations."

Suriya Chindawongse's eyes glimmered with determination as he stood before the British and Irish Ambassadors, both of whom held significant influence within the Global Assembly. The weight of the situation in the Congo pressed heavily upon his heart, fueling his resolve to bring these key players together in the pursuit of peace. He knew that their unity would be vital in navigating the delicate negotiations that lay ahead. "Ambassadors Cave and O'Dwyer," Suriya began, his voice steady and imbued with conviction, "our nations have long shared common values, and our cooperation has proven invaluable in the past. I believe that this crisis in the Congo presents us with an opportunity to once again demonstrate our collective commitment to peace, stability, and the protection of innocent lives."

Suriya paused for a moment, allowing the gravity of his words to sink in. He continued, "As the Ambassador of Thailand, I assure you that we are dedicated to working collaboratively with both the United Kingdom and Ireland. We recognize the importance of your support, and we are prepared to address any concerns you may have. We believe that the only way to achieve a lasting resolution is through a united front, one that transcends the boundaries of our nations and unites us under a shared vision of peace and justice." As Suriya spoke, he made sure to maintain eye contact with both Ambassadors, conveying the sincerity and urgency of his message. He understood the challenges that lay ahead, but he was resolute in his belief that their joint efforts could make a difference.

"In the past, our nations have shown that we are capable of overcoming adversity and championing the cause of peace. I humbly ask that you join us in this pursuit, for the sake of the Congolese people who are caught in the crossfire of this devastating conflict. Together, we have the power to bring about real change, to alleviate suffering, and to lay the groundwork for a brighter future." Suriya's impassioned plea hung in the air, a testament to the profound sense of responsibility that he felt as the Ambassador of Thailand. His words were carefully chosen, designed to resonate with the British and Irish representatives, to remind them of their shared history, and to inspire them to action. Only time would tell if his efforts would be enough to sway their hearts and minds, but he was willing to risk everything in the pursuit of peace.

As the Thai ambassador approached Awolowo, his hand would slip almost unnoticeably into his suit jacket. A simple, unaltered PPK pistol was secured there. In every prior appearance at the Assembly he had handed it off to the guards before entering, but this day he had taken precautions. He would close the laptop and cover any exposed files before the Thai man reached him. He would listen intently as Suriya spoke, making direct eye contact- a glare that was hard to read, either interested and willing or threatening. It was impossible to tell. Once Suriya was finished, he would say only a few words.

"Ambassador, our commitment in this meeting is to ensure that Africa remains African. I am letting you know beforehand that no involvement of foreign powers will be permitted across any portion of the Congo, regardless of whether or not it is run by a separate regime. That is all."

He would watch as the Thai ambassador left, slowly removing his hand from the PPK, then turning back to his work.

In the shadows of the sacred chamber, a well-trained NIA agent stood poised, ever vigilant, ready to protect the Thai Ambassador at a moment's notice. Concealed within the folds of his tailored suit, a state-of-the-art FN Five-seveN pistol lay nestled in a custom-made carbon-fiber holster. The agent's keen eyes never strayed far from the Ambassador, carefully assessing the situation and analyzing the reactions of the Irish and British representatives. The carbon-fiber holster was a marvel of modern engineering, designed specifically to provide maximum concealment and ease of access. The lightweight yet incredibly strong material was virtually undetectable under the agent's clothing, ensuring that even the most scrupulous observers would remain unaware of its presence. The unique carbon-fiber weave allowed for a precise fit, securing the pistol snugly against the agent's body while also minimizing any potential noise during movement. Furthermore, the holster was lined with an advanced radio-frequency shielding material, rendering the firearm all but invisible to any electronic detection methods.

As the intense conversation between the Thai, British, and Irish Ambassadors unfolded, the NIA agent maintained his stoic composure. Every nerve in his body was attuned to the slightest sign of danger, every muscle coiled and ready to spring into action. He was a human weapon, honed to razor-sharp precision through years of rigorous training and real-world experience. Meanwhile, three other aides entered the chamber, taking their positions around the Thai Ambassador's seat. They moved with purpose and grace, their eyes keenly observing the proceedings. Though their roles may have appeared mundane to the untrained eye, each of them was a vital cog in the well-oiled machine that was the Thai diplomatic delegation.

Together, the NIA agent and the aides formed an impenetrable barrier around the Thai Ambassador, safeguarding him from any potential threats. As Suriya Chindawongse continued his impassioned plea for unity and cooperation, the agents and aides held their breaths, their hearts swelling with pride at the courage and conviction of the man they were sworn to protect. Unbeknownst to the others in the chamber, this small but elite group of operatives worked in seamless harmony, their movements fluid and synchronized, their minds attuned to a singular purpose. They were the silent guardians, the unsung heroes who stood watch over the delicate balance of power, ensuring that their nation's voice would be heard and respected on the world stage. And as the dramatic events of the day continued to unfold, they remained ever vigilant, their unwavering commitment to their duty a testament to the strength and resilience of the people they represented.

In the solemn atmosphere of the Global Assembly chamber, the NIA agent and the three aides continued their silent vigil, their senses acutely attuned to every nuance of the unfolding drama. It was now time for them to execute their next critical task, and they moved as one, a perfectly synchronized unit. Their every step was calculated, their every breath measured, as they prepared to present the culmination of their nation's efforts. With practiced precision, the aides retrieved their state-of-the-art laptops from sleek, unassuming cases. These devices were the very pinnacle of modern technology, equipped with the most advanced software and security measures to ensure that the vital information they contained would remain impervious to prying eyes. With a series of deft keystrokes, the aides connected their laptops to the projector, and screens arrayed throughout the chamber, casting a warm glow that seemed to hang in the air like a tangible promise of hope.

As the first slide of the presentation materialized on the screens, the NIA agent's eyes momentarily flickered with a spark of pride. Emblazoned across the slide in bold, authoritative text were the words: "Resolution on Addressing the Congolese Conflict and Ensuring Humanitarian Assistance." This was the moment that the Thai delegation had been tirelessly working towards, the culmination of countless hours of research, diplomacy, and strategic planning.

The agent and the aides held their breaths, the weight of the responsibility they bore pressing down upon them like a heavy mantle. The success of this presentation could very well determine the fate of the Congolese people and the future of international relations. Every detail, every statistic, every image that the delegation had so painstakingly gathered would be scrutinized by the representatives of the world's most powerful nations.

The Polish Ambassador hurried through the halls of the hallowed building that housed the Global Assembly. He was certainly in a state. Tie hung limp around his neck, a piece of paper sat half in/half out of his closed briefcase. He had woken up much to late to take careful time to make his appearance fully presentable but he knew he should not miss the ongoing resolution being held within the revered chamber that he had sat in for many years. He paused his half jog just outside the closed doors to the session inside before running a hand through evacuating hair and then tightening his tie.

He would carefully open the chamber's doors with a smile on his face and raise a hand in apology for interrupting any talking that could be ongoing at his late appearance. He would notice the intensity in the air as he stepped into the chamber and would quickly ascertain who the culprits were. Ireland and Britain were looking quite snug together. Thailand had been the last speaker it appeared. The Congo had two laptops set up as well as an ancient brick of a cellular device. These were certainly the players right now. The Pole would be formulating a plan as he walked to his designated area emblazoned with 'POLAND' on the plaque that sat upon its surface. He was careful to quietly set his briefcase on the desk before removing his own legal pad of paper, several pens, and small tin of mints. Quitting smoking was hard but the mints helped with the urge to suck on a cancer stick.

He had refrained from utilizing a laptop for meetings due to the threats of security breaches. Nothing was impervious and should someone gain physical control of the laptop there was not much anyone could do to recover it. Even encrypted drives set to destroy themselves could be used to recover partial information. But paper. Paper burned quickly and had a bit of finality to it as one watched it burn. That's is why he kept the zippo lighter on him, even though he considered himself a smoker no longer.

As the presentation unfolded before the assembly, Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand, felt the weight of the moment pressing down upon his shoulders. With each slide, his heart swelled with pride and determination, knowing that the outcome of these discussions would shape the course of history for the Congolese people. He was a man who understood the immense power of words, and the great responsibility that accompanied them. With purposeful strides, Suriya made his way back to his seat, his eyes never leaving the screens that illuminated the chamber. As he settled into his chair, he could feel the eyes of the world upon him, their collective expectations and hopes bearing down upon him like a tidal wave. But rather than succumbing to the pressure, Suriya drew strength from it, his resolve to bring peace to the Congo only growing stronger.

In the tense silence that followed the presentation, Suriya leaned in to speak with one of his aides, their whispered conversation barely audible amidst the quiet murmurings of the assembly. Each word exchanged was laden with the gravity of the situation, a testament to the careful planning and strategy that had been woven into every aspect of the Thai delegation's efforts. Moments later, Suriya turned his attention to the NIA operative seated nearby. Their conversation was equally hushed, an exchange of vital information and subtle reassurances that spoke volumes about the unwavering commitment of the NIA to protect and support their ambassador. The operative's gaze was steely, yet filled with quiet determination, a reflection of the immense responsibility they bore. As Suriya stood from his seat, he could feel the collective breath of the assembly held in anticipation. He took a moment to steady himself, drawing upon the well of courage and conviction that lay within his heart. This was the moment he had been preparing for, the culmination of his life's work and passion. With a deep breath, he faced the representatives of the world, ready to shoulder the great responsibility that lay before him, determined to bring hope and peace to the people of the Congo.

======================

The NIA agent and three aides watched with bated breath as Suriya Chindawongse took his place at the podium, his demeanor resolute, his voice unwavering. They knew the importance of this moment, the gravity of the situation unfolding before them, and they were ready to provide their unwavering support to the ambassador as he spoke.

"Ladies and gentlemen of the Global Assembly," Suriya began, his voice filling the chamber with a profound sense of purpose. "We are gathered here today to address a grave injustice, an act of aggression that has caused untold suffering and anguish to the people of the Republic of Congo." As the ambassador spoke, the NIA agent and the aides exchanged glances, their expressions a mixture of determination and empathy. They were well-versed in the history of the Congo conflict, having devoted countless hours to researching and analyzing the complex web of events that had led to this moment.

"The invasion of the Republic of Congo by the Imperial State of the Congo was not only unwarranted but also a blatant violation of international law," Suriya continued, his voice resolute. "This act of aggression has had devastating consequences for the civilian population, who have been forced to endure untold hardships as their homes, their livelihoods, and their very lives have been torn apart." As the ambassador recounted the harrowing details of the conflict, the NIA agent and the aides felt a shared sense of grief and outrage. They had seen the images and read the reports detailing the destruction and human suffering that had resulted from the Imperial State's invasion, and they were united in their determination to see justice served.

"Countless innocent lives have been lost, families torn apart, and entire communities destroyed," Suriya continued, his voice heavy with emotion. "The humanitarian crisis that has unfolded as a result of this senseless war is one that demands our immediate attention and action." As the ambassador concluded his opening statement, the NIA agent and the aides exchanged a solemn nod, their commitment to supporting Suriya and the people of the Congo unwavering. They knew that the road ahead would be fraught with challenges and uncertainties, but they were resolute in their determination to see this conflict brought to an end and justice restored to the people of the Congo.

======================

The NIA agent and the three aides listened intently as Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse's voice resonated throughout the chamber, his tone resolute and unwavering as he addressed the Global Assembly. They knew that the words he spoke were of the utmost importance, carrying with them the weight of countless lives and the future of an entire nation. Each word was carefully chosen, intended to pierce the hearts of everyone present, including the Congolese ambassador. "With the civil war in the Congo long since over," Suriya continued, "it is beyond comprehension that the Imperial State of the Congo would choose to inflict further violence upon a people who have already suffered so much." The NIA agent and the aides felt a surge of emotion at the ambassador's words, knowing that he was speaking not only on behalf of the Thai delegation but for the international community as a whole.

The ambassador paused for a moment, allowing the gravity of his words to sink in before he spoke again, his voice firm and unyielding. "The question that we must all ask ourselves is why? Why has the Imperial State of the Congo chosen to unleash this maelstrom of suffering upon the Congolese people?" Suriya's eyes locked onto the Congolese ambassador, his gaze filled with a potent mix of sorrow and determination. The word that followed would resonate in the hearts and minds of everyone present, a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of the conflict: "Genocide." The NIA agent and the aides felt the impact of the word as it reverberated through the chamber, a powerful indictment of the actions of the Imperial State of the Congo.

As the ambassador's voice echoed in the hallowed hall, the NIA agent and the three aides could not help but feel a sense of pride and resolve. They knew that they were bearing witness to a pivotal moment in history, one that could potentially change the course of the Congo conflict and bring an end to the suffering of its people. As the Global Assembly listened in rapt attention, it was clear that Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse had struck a chord with his impassioned plea for justice and peace in the Congo. The NIA agent and the aides stood at the ready, prepared to support the ambassador in his tireless pursuit of justice for the Congolese people and an end to the senseless violence that had plagued their nation for far too long.

======================

The NIA agent and the three aides watched intently as Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse continued his impassioned speech, addressing the Global Assembly with a sense of urgency that conveyed the gravity of the situation in the Congo. His voice carried the weight of the Assembly's collective responsibility for maintaining international peace and security, and their unwavering commitment to global stability, cooperation, and the rule of law.

"Recalling its primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security, in accordance with the principles and purposes of the Charter of the Global Assembly, and reiterating its unwavering commitment to the promotion of global stability, cooperation, and the rule of law," Suriya spoke, his voice strong and steady as he addressed the Assembly.

"Deeply alarmed by the escalating conflict between the Imperial Congo and the Republican Congo, which has resulted in the catastrophic destruction of Point Noire, the tragic loss of countless lives, and the mass displacement of millions of refugees, causing immense suffering and further destabilizing the region," the ambassador continued, his words painting a vivid picture of the dire situation on the ground.

"Strongly condemning the use of force and violence in the conflict, including any violations of international humanitarian law and human rights, such as indiscriminate attacks on civilian populations, the use of child soldiers, and sexual and gender-based violence, and asserting the fundamental importance of holding all perpetrators of such heinous acts accountable in order to ensure justice for the victims and prevent future atrocities," Suriya's voice resonated throughout the chamber, a powerful call for justice and an end to the bloodshed.

"Underlining the urgent and paramount need for a peaceful, comprehensive, and lasting resolution of the conflict through inclusive dialogue, constructive negotiation, and unwavering respect for the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference in the internal affairs of states, in accordance with the Charter of the Global Assembly and relevant international law," the ambassador declared, emphasizing the importance of diplomacy and adherence to international norms in resolving the crisis.

"Recognizing the devastating and far-reaching impact of the conflict on the civilian population, including the exacerbation of an already dire humanitarian crisis, the disruption of essential services and infrastructure, and the erosion of social cohesion and trust among communities, and emphasizing the need for immediate, unhindered, and sustained access to humanitarian assistance for all those affected, in line with the principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence," Suriya's words underscored the urgency of addressing the humanitarian needs of the Congolese people.

"Acknowledging the critical role of the international community, regional organizations, and relevant stakeholders in supporting and facilitating the peaceful resolution of the conflict, the protection of civilians, the provision of humanitarian assistance, and the promotion of long-term peace, stability, and development in the region, in a spirit of solidarity, partnership, and shared responsibility," the ambassador concluded, urging the Global Assembly to come together in a unified effort to address the crisis in the Congo.

As the ambassador's powerful words echoed throughout the chamber, the NIA agent and the aides felt the weight of their responsibility and the immense challenges that lay ahead. They understood that the path to peace would not be easy, but with the unwavering commitment of the international community, there was hope for a brighter future for the people of the Congo.

======================

As the NIA agent and the three aides listened intently to the ambassador's speech, they could feel the conviction and determination in his voice. They knew that this was a pivotal moment in the Global Assembly, and the outcome of these discussions would have far-reaching consequences for the people of the Congo and the international community as a whole.

Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse, his voice resonating with emotion and conviction, continued to address the Global Assembly, urging them to recognize the common humanity that connects all people, regardless of nationality or background.

"In light of the devastating conflict in the Congo and the immense suffering experienced by its people, it is our duty as the international community to act with compassion, empathy, and unwavering resolve," Suriya began, his voice strong and resolute. "We must ask ourselves what has made humans not just survive but thrive as a civilization. What has propelled us to claim ourselves as the most intelligent species on this planet, and perhaps even in the galaxy? It is our ability to connect, collaborate, and work together for the betterment of all."

As the ambassador continued, his voice took on a more urgent and impassioned tone, emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation among nations. "We have reached this moment in history through the collective efforts of our ancestors, who fought against the harshest of conditions and overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles. They did so through cooperation, empathy, and the recognition that the success of one is linked to the success of all. It is this very spirit of unity and collaboration that we must now invoke in the face of the crisis unfolding in the Congo."

The NIA agent and the aides could feel the weight of the ambassador's words, the intensity of the emotions he conveyed, and the significance of the message he was delivering. The ambassador's impassioned plea for unity and cooperation struck a chord in the hearts of everyone present, reminding them of their shared humanity and the importance of working together to address the challenges facing the world.

"We stand at a crucial juncture in our shared history, where the actions we take today will shape the world for generations to come," Suriya continued, his voice resolute and unwavering. "As members of the international community, it is our solemn duty to ensure that the principles of justice, equality, and human dignity prevail over the forces of violence, hatred, and division." The ambassador paused for a moment, allowing the weight of his words to settle on the Assembly. "Let us come together, as one united global family, to address the crisis in the Congo and work towards a future in which all people can live in peace, security, and prosperity. For it is in our unity and our shared commitment to the betterment of all that we find our true strength as a civilization."

As the ambassador concluded his powerful speech, the NIA agent and the aides knew that the fate of the Congo and the international community's response now lay in the hands of the Global Assembly. The time for action had come, and it was up to the world's leaders to seize this opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of millions.

The United States Ambassador to the Global Assembly, Luke Adams, walked into the Global Assembly chamber wearing a dark blue suit, a light blue dress shirt, and a dark blue tie. On his left wrist was a gold watch and on his right ring finger was his class ring from Harvard. He walked into the chamber and took his seat next to the British Ambassador. He had with him some papers and information on the conflict in the Congo in his briefcase, which was locked, as well as a bottle of water. He briefly gave a kind hello to his British colleague and then took out a notepad and his fountain ink pen. He started jotting down a few notes in Latin and looked over the transcript of what had been said so far.

The Ambassador to the Global Assembly for Germany, Katharina Stasch, would approach the chamber. Her prior meeting with the Chancellor and Foreign Minister to establish Germany's position on the Congo Wars had significantly overran. Embarrassed my her lateness, she snuck through the chamber's doors with policy documents in hand, and crept towards the seat labelled 'Germany'. She quickly made herself comfortable and read through the transcripts of the session, awaiting a suitable point to voice Germany's stance of the conflict.

Ambassador Awolowo would have already been on edge- this assembly was called as an act of aggression against his nation and its objectives, undeniably, to him. But he listened intently to the Thai ambassador while he spoke, to hear his argument, to calculate the best way to tear it down and defend his country's honor. That was, until he heard that one, tone-changing word. Genocide.

Immediately, he shot up and out of his seat, throwing his hands out from his body in a gesture of frustration. His aides would step back from their work organizing and preparing files to look dumbfounded at the foreigner speaking of them. Awolowo would bring his microphone up to his mouth.

"Mr. Chindawongse! I would STRONGLY advise you to choose your words much more carefully than you have so far. You are not Congolese. Unlike me and my compatriots here. And you do not know what genocide is; you have never experienced it. In fact, you have only PARTICIPATED in it. Your recent invasions of Laos and Cambodia, from which nothing was gained but the deaths of thousands of civilians and the destruction of infrastructure? Or when in 1979 your armies forced thousands of Khmer refugees off of a mountain to their deaths because you did not desire them in your country? My parents, my grandparents, suffered through the Congo Free State. A real, genuine genocide, worse than the holocaust, where more than 10,000,000 of my people were killed by FOREIGNERS. We were maimed, our limbs cut off, our men and women sterilized against their will, our children stolen and used for slave labor. I never met my grandparents, because of genocide. What about yours? I would again like to STRONGLY suggest that you reconsider your wording here. Thank you." He would sit down, his face flushed, and take a drink of water. He hovered his hand over the cellular phone for a minute, before dropping his hand with a glare. Not yet. It wasn't enough. He would have to swallow his pride. His hand disappeared into his suit coat, on edge.

Ambassador for Sweden to the Global Assembly, Xavier Holm, would make his way after a brief refreshment break in his office, directly into the hall where this resolution was being heard; as he entered he would collect a transcript from the clerk at the door which would be placed atop of a black conference folder emblazoned with thr Swedish coat of arms. In his hand he grasped a leopard print cup, pertuded by a pink straw. Smiling to his TASA allies, he would take his seat beside them and as tradition serves, he'd push a small Swedish flag into a wooden block at the very edge of the desk, immediately beside a plaque displaying 'SWEDEN'. Listening to the speaking representatives intently, he'd read through the transcript and the proposed resolution.

Shortly after the arrival of Bens arrival to the Global Assembly, he had the opportunity to greet his Thai counterpart Suriya who he had offered his hand to shake as part of their first introduction to one another before allowing the Ambassador to continue with their words about the situation in Congo -- prior to the session officially commencing. Ben didn't display much emotion, almost like cogs were turning in his head about what support the Thai were asking for and considering the options that the UK could take surrounding the matter. A quiet nod followed "I understand, the situation in Congo is far from desirable and, if I consider the environment right, I would support a peacekeeping operation. It does... however, depend on the reception received. We shall see." smiled Ben reassuringly.

His eyes glanced away as the Thai Ambassador made for his seat, briefly looking at the representative for the Imperial State of Congo. Nothing was said or suggested before his train of thought was disrupted, standing up to shake the hand of his Irish counterpart "My pleasure" he spoke, his tone of voice going much lower so that only his Irish colleague could hear "I'm not opposed to a peacekeeping operation and are more likely in favor. Whether the UK would be involved, is a different story. It's about the reception given by the Imperial Congo to a peacekeeping force. I worry it would just escalate and drag more countries into a war which would defeat the point of this resolution. We shall see, I suppose."

For the remainder of arrivals, the British Ambassador remained quiet until the session was in place ... it wasn't long before the Thai hosts stood and begun to make their point for those in attendance. For anyone else, they'd be up to date transcripts waiting for them. Throughout the opening statement, Ben took notes, looking up from the paper periodically to show his attentiveness. During the statement, his US colleague arrived to which he quietly nodded in a form of greeting. Eventually, the opening statement from the Thai Ambassador stopped to be quickly replaced by the Congolese. He almost didn't spot the flirtatious smile from his Swede collegue, but kept his focus on Ambassador Awolowo, quietly sighing to himself before taking the floor after a few moments of an awkward silence. Suppose someone has to talk, he pondered.

"Ambassador Awolowo" he begun, trying not to butcher the name. If he did, he'd probably make some witty joke about how Imperial Troops were butching civilians and asked how he liked it. Probably a bit too dark humored to really be said, but he'd think it anyway. "I think the attendance of everyone here should indicate the concern we all share for your countries invasion of the DRC and the impact its having on millions - from killings to displacement. I'm not sure if there's been any other discussions but the justification for your invasion has eluded me. Please could you give me and by extension, the chamber, the reasons for the Imperial States invasion of the DRC?"

The ambassador would sit back now, gathering his thoughts for a moment, before responding while seated, much calmer than before. He was trying to soothe his hot blood; genocide, what a wild accusation.

"Firstly, ambassador, there is no invasion. There is an intervention. Secondly, the target of this intervention is not the DRC - which was the name formerly used to refer to the Imperial Congo before our great emperor took power - but instead the Republic of the Congo, also referred to as Congo-Brazzaville or the Republican Congo. I will also say, the few unintended civilian casualties are focused in Brazzaville, where Republican troops entrenched themselves in populated areas, we believe to use the civilians as shields. The Republicans, however, did commit a massacre in the Imperial-ruled Dongo region, killing over 10,000 innocent civilians in wholesale slaughter.

"As for the reason for the intervention, the 'New Congo Party', led by Congo-Brazzaville native Salomé Yumba, which advocated for peace and stability and equality within their government, was repeatedly targeted and abused by the tyrannical Republican government. In fact, several of their numbers were assassinated and they were exiled from their country. We determined that they were by far the most popular candidates for the presidency and other legislative offices, however, the Republican army kept them from being able to run in order to ensure their dominance. After enough outcry and calls for help from our abused neighbor's people, we felt it necessary to take action. We delivered an ultimatum, which was ignored, and ever since we have been in conflict with the ruthless militias that the Republicans choose to align themselves with. If you need further information, I have shared copies of our initial announcement with the assembly."

The NIA agent, along with the three aides, listened attentively to the Congolese response. It was clear that Ambassador Awolowo felt passionately about defending his country's actions. However, the agent and the aides couldn't help but be skeptical of the ambassador's claims, as the situation in the Congo seemed far more complex and troubling than he portrayed. They knew that the international community must address these concerns with the utmost caution and scrutiny, to ensure that the truth would prevail and justice would be served. The NIA agent leaned toward one of the aides and whispered, "We must not let ourselves be swayed by emotion or rhetoric. We must remain objective and critical in our evaluation of the situation." The aide nodded in agreement, understanding the gravity of the task at hand.

As the Global Assembly continued, Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse rose to address Ambassador Awolowo's response. The intensity of his voice conveyed his unwavering commitment to the pursuit of truth and justice. "Ambassador Awolowo," Suriya began, maintaining a composed and professional demeanor, "I understand your defense of your country's actions, and I want to assure you that our ultimate goal is to reach a just and fair resolution for all parties involved. As representatives of the international community, we must be diligent and thorough in our examination of the facts, so that we can uphold the principles of truth and justice."

The Thai ambassador continued, emphasizing the importance of an unbiased evaluation of the situation in the Congo. "While we recognize that political strife exists within the Republic of the Congo, it is crucial that we carefully consider the nature and consequences of the Imperial State's intervention. The use of military force has led to civilian casualties, and we cannot simply dismiss these losses as collateral damage. The international community is duty-bound to investigate the full scope of the harm inflicted by this intervention and ensure accountability for any wrongdoings." Suriya then addressed the previous claims regarding the Laos and Cambodian conflicts, intent on providing a comprehensive explanation and defense of Thailand's position in those situations. "I would like to remind the Assembly that the situations in Laos and Cambodia were complex and multifaceted. Thailand has consistently advocated for peace, stability, and the well-being of the people in the region. Our actions were taken in response to perceived threats to regional security, and we cooperated with international organizations to ensure the protection of human rights and the rule of law. We must consider these conflicts within their historical and political contexts, rather than oversimplifying or misconstruing the facts."

The ambassador's firm conviction and commitment to transparency resonated throughout the chamber. It was evident that Suriya and his team were determined to defend their country's actions while remaining open to dialogue and cooperation. The NIA agent and the aides could feel the gravity of the situation as the debate continued. They understood the importance of maintaining professionalism and ensuring that all perspectives were heard and considered. As the ambassadors continued to present their arguments, the agent and the aides remained vigilant, determined to uphold the principles of truth and justice and to act in the best interests of all parties affected by the conflicts in the Congo, Laos, and Cambodia.

Suriya maintained a composed and professional demeanor as he continued to present a thorough and well-reasoned counter-argument to the Congolese response. "While we acknowledge the presence of internal political strife in the Republic of the Congo, it is crucial that we objectively assess the nature of the Imperial State's intervention. The use of military force and the resulting civilian casualties cannot be simply dismissed as mere collateral damage. The international community bears a responsibility to investigate the full extent of the harm caused by this intervention and to hold those responsible accountable for their actions."

The Thai ambassador then proceeded to address the Congolese ambassador's assertion that the intervention was requested by the people of the Republic of the Congo. "It is of utmost importance that we scrutinize these calls for help and ascertain their legitimacy. We must determine whether these appeals genuinely represent the will of the people, or if they have been manipulated by factions seeking to advance their agendas. The international community's role should not be to serve as a pawn in the game of power and politics, but to act as a steadfast guardian of human rights and justice." In light of the possibility that the Congolese evidence may be fabricated, Suriya urged the assembly to consider the broader implications. "We must remain vigilant and cautious in our approach to this matter. If, as some have suggested, the Congolese proof is entirely fabricated, then we are faced with a grave breach of trust and a deliberate attempt to manipulate the international community. Such actions cannot be tolerated, and we must ensure that a thorough and impartial investigation is conducted to uncover the truth."

The ambassador's commitment to transparency and objectivity resonated throughout the chamber. Suriya's unwavering determination to defend the principles of truth and justice demonstrated the importance of maintaining professionalism and ensuring that all perspectives were heard and considered. As the debate continued, the NIA agent and the aides remained vigilant, dedicated to upholding the integrity of the international community and acting in the best interests of all parties involved. Suriya then proceeded to address the consequences of the Imperial Congo's intervention on the people of the Republic of Congo. "We cannot overlook the devastating impact of the conflict on millions of innocent civilians. The destruction of Pointe-Noire and the widespread suffering it has caused demand that we, as the international community, critically assess the Imperial Congo's actions and seek a just resolution for those affected."

The Thai ambassador continued, "The Imperial Congo has a responsibility not only to justify its intervention but also to provide a comprehensive plan for addressing the humanitarian crisis that has arisen from the conflict. We must ask the Imperial Congo how they intend to support the millions of civilians whose lives have been shattered by this ongoing strife, and what measures they will take to ensure the reconstruction of Pointe-Noire and other devastated areas." Suriya then called for collaborative efforts from the international community to address the situation in the Republic of Congo. "It is incumbent upon all of us here to work together in finding a peaceful and lasting solution to this crisis. This includes the provision of humanitarian aid, the establishment of safe zones for affected civilians, and the initiation of diplomatic dialogues to resolve the underlying political disputes that have fueled this conflict."

The Thai ambassador's commitment to the protection of civilian lives and the restoration of peace and stability in the region exemplified the spirit of international cooperation. As the NIA agent and the aides listened intently, they remained steadfast in their pursuit of truth and justice, dedicated to supporting the interests of all those affected by the conflict in the Congo.

======================

The Ambassador, with a somber tone and the weight of the world on their shoulders, addressed the assembly with unwavering conviction. "As representatives of the global community, we must come together to resolve this conflict in the Congo. It is our collective duty to ensure the safety and well-being of all affected by the hostilities. Therefore, we must insist upon the following actions to be taken by all parties involved."

Firstly, the Ambassador urged for an immediate end to the violence. "We call upon every side to cease hostilities without delay, to establish a secure environment for meaningful dialogue and the pursuit of lasting peace. Only through a comprehensive, verifiable, and sustainable ceasefire can we hope to lay the foundation for fruitful negotiations." The Ambassador then highlighted the importance of inclusive and transparent dialogue. "We must foster a space where all stakeholders can participate in negotiations, including women, youth, and marginalized communities. In doing so, we can reach a political settlement that addresses the root causes of the conflict, promotes reconciliation, and upholds justice and the rule of law."

Continuing, the Ambassador emphasized the need for the protection of human rights and adherence to international humanitarian law. "All parties must respect and ensure the fundamental freedoms of everyone involved, without discrimination. We must refrain from the use of prohibited weapons and tactics, and ensure the protection of civilians, especially women, children, and vulnerable groups. Medical facilities, educational institutions, and other civilian objects must also be safeguarded." Next, the Ambassador called for cooperation in holding violators accountable. "We must work together to investigate and document violations of international humanitarian law and human rights abuses. By providing access, information, and assistance to relevant international, regional, and national mechanisms, we can ensure that justice is served and impunity is eradicated, deterring future violations."

The Ambassador then stressed the importance of unhindered humanitarian assistance. "We must facilitate the swift and safe delivery of aid to all affected populations, in line with the principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence. It is our collective responsibility to protect humanitarian personnel and assets, prevents the diversion of aid, and refrain from imposing arbitrary restrictions or targeting humanitarian workers." Finally, the Ambassador urged for the implementation of confidence-building measures. "We must promote trust and goodwill between opposing parties by releasing political prisoners, facilitating family reunifications, and establishing communication channels. These actions will create a conducive atmosphere for successful peace negotiations and the achievement of a durable and inclusive political settlement."

As the Ambassador concluded their impassioned plea, the NIA agent and aides listened intently, recognizing the crucial role they all played in advocating for a just and peaceful resolution to the conflict in the Congo.

The ambassadors, with the gravity of the situation palpable in their voices, continued to address the assembly. "In addition to the actions we have called for from the involved parties, we must now turn our attention to the role of the Secretary-General and the international community in resolving the Congolese Conflict." First and foremost, the Ambassador requested an urgent Global Assembly session. "We must convene a gathering of the world's representatives as a top priority, to comprehensively discuss and address the Congolese Conflict and its far-reaching implications for both regional and international peace and security. We must work together to determine the necessary measures to end hostilities and pave the way for a lasting resolution."

The Ambassador then called upon the Secretary-General to facilitate diplomatic efforts. "We ask that you support and encourage dialogue, trust-building measures, and negotiations between the conflicting parties. Engage regional and international stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to peacebuilding and provide regular, comprehensive updates to the Global Assembly on the progress and challenges faced in these efforts." Furthermore, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of coordination among various organizations and actors. "We urge the Secretary-General to work closely with regional organizations, Member States, and humanitarian actors, including Global Assembly agencies, international and regional organizations, and non-governmental organizations. This collaboration is crucial for effectively providing humanitarian assistance to affected populations, including refugees and internally displaced persons while addressing their specific needs and vulnerabilities per international legal frameworks."

The Ambassador also urged for the mobilization of resources to address the conflict. "We ask the Secretary-General to allocate the necessary financial, technical, and logistical support to facilitate the implementation of the Global Assembly's decisions related to the Congolese Conflict. The activities of the Global Assembly and its partners must be properly resourced, coordinated, and monitored, maximizing their impact and ensuring efficient use of available resources." Lastly, the Ambassador underscored the need to address the root causes of the conflict. "We must identify and tackle the socio-economic, political, and governance issues at the heart of this conflict. By working closely with conflicting parties, relevant stakeholders, and international partners, we can promote inclusive, participatory, and sustainable processes of reconciliation, peacebuilding, and development. This approach will cater to the needs and aspirations of all segments of society, prevent future conflicts, and consolidate long-term peace and stability in the region."

The NIA agent and aides listened to the Ambassador's powerful call to action, understanding the immense responsibility they all shared in advocating for a just and peaceful resolution to the Congolese Conflict.

The Ambassador, acutely aware of the crucial role Member States must play in resolving the Congolese Conflict, continued with a solemn plea for their active involvement. "It is incumbent upon all Member States to recognize their essential part in achieving a peaceful, just, and lasting resolution to this crisis. We must set aside political and military objectives and prioritize the well-being of the affected populations." The Ambassador called upon the Member States to actively support diplomatic efforts. "We must stand behind the Secretary-General and relevant regional and international actors in facilitating good faith negotiations and emphasizing the importance of engaging fully in these processes."

The Ambassador also stressed the urgent need for humanitarian assistance. "Generously providing financial, material, and logistical support to affected populations, humanitarian actors, and relevant Global Assembly agencies is of the utmost importance. Our assistance must be timely, efficient, and accountable, adhering to the principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence." Next, the Ambassador urged Member States to assist in the relocation, protection, and durable solutions for refugees and internally displaced persons. "Per international law and the principles of burden and responsibility-sharing, we must offer resettlement opportunities, support local integration, and facilitate voluntary repatriation when conditions permit. Providing technical, financial, and other forms of support to host countries and communities will enhance their capacity to respond to the needs of displaced populations and promote social cohesion, inclusion, and resilience."

The Ambassador further emphasized the need for full cooperation with the Global Assembly, the Secretary-General, and other relevant actors. "Sharing relevant information, facilitating access for humanitarian and peacebuilding actors, and supporting capacity-building initiatives are crucial in strengthening national and local institutions, civil society organizations, and communities. Together, we can prevent, manage, and resolve conflicts, as well as promote human rights, good governance, and sustainable development." Lastly, the Ambassador called upon Member States to take appropriate measures to prevent the flow of arms, ammunition, and other military support to the conflicting parties. "Per our obligations under international law, we must work to reduce violence and create conditions conducive to dialogue, negotiation, and reconciliation. It is our responsibility to ensure that our actions and policies do not directly or indirectly exacerbate the conflict or contribute to violations of international humanitarian law and human rights."

As the Ambassador concluded their plea, the NIA agent and aides listened intently, feeling the weight of the Ambassador's words and the urgent need for collective action to bring peace and stability to the region.

Ambassador Adams listened to several other ambassadors talk themselves to death. In the meantime he noticed the flamboyant swagger of the Swedish ambassador as he came into the chamber. Did he go to Yale? Ambassador Adams refocused as the Thai Ambassador continued to speak for what felt like an extended lecture. Finally, there was a pause that he was able to take advantage of.

"Mr. Secretary General, fellow ambassadors. The United States Navy has already published information indicating that the Imperial State of The Congo has killed, either directly or indirectly, some 100-thousand or 200-thousand civilians. Months ago the United States evacuated its embassy in the Republic of The Congo and saw the utter destruction that Imperial forces had brought onto the Republic's capital. Artillery had been used in heavily populated, residential areas without any discretion. Point-Noire - a city - was totally obliterated. For the sake of brevity, I kindly request our Thai colleague to cut down his resolution to about a quarter of its current size...

"However, I think it is quite clear that The Imperial Congo is, in one way or another, committing a genocide, or at the very least mass crimes against humanity. The United States fully supports a peacekeeping operation into the Republic of The Congo to halt the current slaughter," he concluded as he took his seat again.

As the American Ambassador finished his statement, the NIA agent couldn't help but let out a dry laugh as he walked toward the front of the chamber, standing at the main large screen. The Thai Ambassador glanced over and then addressed the assembly. "Esteemed colleagues, I appreciate Ambassador Adams' enthusiasm and his willingness to share the US Navy's findings. I would like to point out that our research paper also takes into account the US Navy's publication, as well as other sources, to create a comprehensive understanding of the situation. With that said, I kindly request your attention as we hear from the NIA."

The NIA agent stepped forward, bringing a sense of gravity to the room. "Ladies and gentlemen, our extensive analysis supports the fact that the Imperial State of the Congo has indeed caused a considerable loss of civilian lives. Our data confirms the indiscriminate use of artillery in heavily populated, residential areas, resulting in substantial destruction and casualties. The city of Point-Noire has been utterly devastated, with countless lives lost." The agent paused for a moment, allowing the weight of the situation to settle in before continuing. "The evidence before us strongly suggests that the Imperial Congo is engaging in acts that constitute genocide, or at the very least, mass crimes against humanity. It is our moral and ethical duty to act decisively in the face of such atrocities."

The Thai Ambassador interjected, echoing the NIA agent's sentiments. "In light of this grave situation, we must stand united in our commitment to halt the ongoing violence and protect the innocent lives caught in the crossfire. We call upon the international community to support a peacekeeping operation in the Republic of the Congo to bring an end to this humanitarian crisis." As the room absorbed the Ambassador's plea, the NIA agent, the Ambassador, and their aides stood in solidarity, emphasizing the urgency of their message and the importance of swift, collective action.

The NIA agent signaled for the large screen to display the evidence they had gathered, illustrating the atrocities committed during the conflict. As the images and videos illuminated the room, a palpable sense of shock and horror rippled through the assembly. The agent meticulously guided the audience through the chilling evidence, his voice steady but filled with emotion. "Ladies and gentlemen, these images and videos were captured from a vantage point on an unknown building in Kinshasa. They depict the firing of artillery over the city into Brazzaville, demonstrating the indiscriminate targeting of civilian-populated areas." The agent paused, allowing the horrific reality of the situation to sink in.

"But perhaps the most intriguing and deeply concerning piece of evidence we have uncovered is this footage." The agent directed their attention to a video clip showing an unidentified aircraft being shot down by a Congolese missile. The aircraft plummeted from the sky, crashing and exploding just outside the city. "The origin and purpose of this aircraft remain unknown," the agent continued, "but it is clear that the escalation of violence has reached unprecedented levels. We must consider the consequences of allowing this conflict to spiral further out of control."

The Thai Ambassador stepped forward once again, his voice resolute and determined. "My esteemed colleagues, the evidence presented before you is undeniable. The innocent lives lost, the devastation of entire cities, and the rapid escalation of violence serve as a stark reminder of the urgency of this situation. It is our collective responsibility to act now, to put an end to this humanitarian crisis and to prevent further suffering." The Ambassador paused, allowing the heavy silence in the room to amplify the gravity of the situation. "We must work together, as a unified international community, to support a peacekeeping operation in the Republic of the Congo. Our shared humanity demands that we take decisive action, not only to halt the ongoing violence but also to rebuild the lives shattered by this conflict and create a path toward lasting peace and stability."

As the Ambassador concluded, the NIA agent and their aides stood in solidarity, their unwavering commitment to the pursuit of justice and peace serving as a powerful testament to the importance of their cause. The room remained silent, the haunting images and evidence etched into the minds of those present, as they contemplated the enormity of the task before them. The NIA agent, determined to further emphasize the gravity of the situation, proceeded to present the next set of evidence. The images, videos, and audio recordings that followed painted a harrowing portrait of life in the Kinkenge refugee camp, where over a hundred thousand Republican civilians and nearly ten thousand Thai humanitarian volunteers were struggling to survive in dire conditions.

"Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to direct your attention to the work of our organization at the Kinkenge refugee camp," the agent began, his voice heavy with emotion. "The situation there is nothing short of a humanitarian catastrophe. Overcrowded and severely under-resourced, the camp has become a breeding ground for disease, malnutrition, and despair." As the images and footage unfolded, the audience was confronted with the grim reality faced by those living in the camp. Families huddled together in makeshift tents, their faces etched with fear and uncertainty. Children, their bodies frail from malnutrition, played in the dirt, their laughter tinged with a haunting sadness. Medical staff and volunteers, overwhelmed by the sheer scale of suffering, tended to the sick and injured with an air of quiet desperation.

The NIA agent continued, "In addition to the immense human suffering, the camp is plagued by logistical challenges. Our Thai humanitarian volunteers work tirelessly, doing their utmost to provide essential services and aid to the people of Kinkenge. However, the sheer magnitude of the crisis has stretched their resources and abilities to the breaking point." The audio recordings played a symphony of anguish – the cries of hungry children, the anguished sobs of grieving parents, and the desperate pleas for help from those living in the camp. The agent paused, allowing the heartrending sounds to echo through the chamber, ensuring that the enormity of the crisis was seared into the consciousness of those present.

"The international community must act swiftly and decisively in addressing this crisis," the agent implored, his voice filled with conviction. "We must provide immediate and substantial aid to these refugees, ensure the safety of humanitarian personnel, and work together to create durable solutions for those displaced by this conflict." As the NIA agent concluded his presentation, the Thai Ambassador, along with his aides, stood in somber solidarity. The evidence presented – the heart-wrenching sights, sounds, and stories from the Kinkenge refugee camp – served as a stark reminder of the urgent need for the international community to come together, not just to stop the violence, but to heal the wounds inflicted upon the innocent and to restore hope in the face of unimaginable despair.

======================

The NIA agent shifted his stance and took a deep breath before continuing. "Ladies and gentlemen, our organization's primary duty is to serve in the shadows. It is not often that we have an opportunity to step into the light as I am doing today. However, given the dire circumstances surrounding the Congolese Conflict, it is our responsibility to raise several disturbing questions that demand answers." He paused for effect and looked around the room, making eye contact with various ambassadors. "First, why did the Imperial Congo feel compelled to eradicate Point-Noire through relentless bombardment, if their objective was, as they claim, to aid the Republican civilians at their request? Did the people of the Republic call for their cities to be reduced to rubble, for millions of their fellow citizens, and indeed themselves, to be subjected to unspeakable suffering? Did they call for a war between brothers and sisters, where one side possesses a vastly superior military force?"

The NIA agent allowed the gravity of the questions to settle upon the assembled delegates before continuing. "Second, what was the true nature of the unidentified aircraft that was shot down? What could have possibly motivated it to venture into such a perilous and heavily-contested airspace, unless its mission was to gather intelligence?" He paused briefly, then said, "To us in the NIA, the answer to this second question is more of a trail than a mystery. Many within our organization have strong suspicions about what transpired, but we lack the concrete evidence to prove our case." At this point, the NIA agent turned his gaze towards the Swedish ambassador, locking eyes with him for a brief, intense moment.

"In conclusion," the agent continued, breaking away from the stare, "we urge the international community not to take these troubling questions lightly. It is our collective responsibility to seek the truth, hold those responsible for these atrocities accountable, and work together to restore peace and stability to this war-torn region." With these final words, the NIA agent stepped back from the podium, his solemn expression serving as a silent testament to the weight of the issues he had just laid bare before the Global Assembly.
The Thai ambassador rose gracefully from his seat, his eyes scanning the room as the NIA agent returned to his side. He cleared his throat, capturing the attention of the General Secretary and the other assembled delegates. "Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed colleagues, and Mr. Secretary-General," he began, his voice resonating with a sense of urgency and conviction, "I implore each and every one of you to deeply reflect upon the harrowing images and testimonies that we have just witnessed, which shed light on the unspeakable horrors that the Congolese people are enduring as we speak."

The ambassador paused momentarily, allowing the gravity of his words to sink in. He continued, "As representatives of our respective nations, it is our solemn duty to stand in solidarity with those who suffer and to do everything in our power to alleviate their distress. We must not let political considerations or national interests blind us to the fundamental principles of humanity and compassion that unite us all." He then raised his hand, gesturing towards the screen that had displayed the heart-wrenching evidence of the Congolese conflict. "Let us remember the faces of the innocent victims who have lost their homes, their families, and their very lives in this senseless war. Let us remember the countless refugees who languish in squalid camps, their futures uncertain, and their dreams shattered."

The Thai ambassador's voice quivered with emotion as he went on. "Let us not forget the brave humanitarian volunteers, including those from my own country, who have selflessly dedicated their lives to alleviating the suffering of the Congolese people, often at great personal risk. Their courage and selflessness should inspire us all to act with equal determination and resolve." As he reached the climax of his impassioned plea, the ambassador's eyes implored the delegates to heed his words. "I beseech you, esteemed colleagues, to put aside any lingering doubts or hesitations, and to cast your votes in favor of the suffering Congolese people. Let us unite as an international community to bring an end to this devastating conflict, to provide much-needed humanitarian assistance to the afflicted, and to work tirelessly towards a lasting peace that will ensure the dignity, security, and prosperity of the Congolese people for generations to come."

With that, the Thai ambassador slowly lowered himself back into his seat, his eyes never leaving the faces of his fellow delegates. At that moment, he stood as a powerful symbol of the compassion and resolve that would be required of them all if they were to successfully confront the immense challenges that lay ahead.

The right hand of the Polish ambassador moved with purpose as he wrote short hand on his notepad. Things were certainly heated within the Chamber this day, and rightly so. The Thai ambassador was certainly an impassioned speaker. Definitely would have the ability to gather a serious amount of followers should he wish to invest in a political career in his home nation of Thailand but the Polish Ambassador was sure he was a man who did his duty with no hopes of accolades for it. The man's speech passed that feeling to him. Hell, he was ready to enlist to provide support for the Congolese people himself after hearing the man speak on behalf the Congolese Conflict. But now it was certainly his turn to provide some support for the man to anyone who may still be on the fence about the peacekeeping operation.

"Ladies and Gentleman of the Chamber. First let me thank Ambassador Chindawongse for his impassioned speech. Many know that Poland's long term goal on the international stage is to help ensure the safety of the world's citizens and today we stand humbled by our friends in Thailand who have not only began helping these poor souls who have been faced with biblical levels of violence but also have put themselves in the firing line with their friends to ensure these citizens are helped to the best of their ability. We applaud you in Poland sir. Now," The Polish Ambassador paused for a moment to look around the room to gauge their reactions. "Despite our own friendly relations with the Empire of the Congo, Poland stands ready to offer support for the Peacekeeping mission. I received word before the chamber was called into session that regardless of the outcome of the resolution, Poland stands ready to commit several elements to assist the Thai in their endeavors. I'm sure there are several of the smaller nations who are prepared to provide assistance to Thailand's efforts as well," The Ambassador would look towards the Irish and German delegates as he spoke. "But I am sure we are all aware that for this operation to be a success, we will need the support of the world powers. Or at least one of them." He glanced around the room, eyes lingering on the American delegate for a second.

"But, besides the possibility of Peacekeeping operations, there is one thing that Poland was address. We have heard from the United States. We have heard from the Empire of the Congo. We have listened to the impassioned speeches of the Thai ambassador. But we have not heard from a single source from within the Republic of the Congo. We have heard from secondary and tertiary sources who witnessed the conflict from the outside and through a lens of a camera. Even the Congolese ambassador present has probably not present for the hostilities between his nation and another sovereign nation. I propose that we endeavor to bring witnesses from the Republic of the Congo either to these hallowed halls or endeavor to get a team to the Congo to interview these witnesses utilizing video and audio recording devices. We believe this should be done before the media hounds get the same idea and begin televising these interviews which could call into question our credibility within the Global Assembly for being impartial. Thank you."

The Polish ambassador retook his seat at the desk after he finished speaking. He was not as eloquent as the Thai ambassador and he did not carry the power of the American. But he spoke plainly. He did not mince his words with flowery language.
